The 300 is built on Chrysler’s LX platform, which also underpins the Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Magnum. It was derived from the 1996 to 2002 Mercedes E-Class architecture — a result of the now defunct DaimlerChrysler merger.

The Chrysler 300C is the luxury version of the Chrysler 300, only with the addition of a standard Hemi V8. The 300C is available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The 2010 Chrysler 300C AWD is exclusively offered with a HEMI V8 engine. The 300C AWD’s 5.7-liter HEMI V8 delivers 360 horsepower (HP) and 390 foot pounds of torque, and is mated to a five-speed AutoStick automatic transmission. (The 300 Touring AWD Signature Series Value Package and 300 Limited AWD are equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 250 HP and 250 foot pounds of torque.)

The EPA’s fuel economy estimates for the 5.7-liter HEMI-equipped Chrysler 300C AWD are 16 city / 23 highway miles per gallon (MPG).We traveled more than three hundred miles in our Dark Titanium Metallic 300C AWD review unit and surpassed the official mileage estimates, scoring an average of 25.2 MPG on the Interstate highway and 20 MPG combined in cool weather and mixed conditions.

The 300C boasts not only brute power, but beautiful, upscale lines and brilliant finish. The exterior beauty is matched by classy interior appointments, including upscale leather seats. Power driver and front passenger seats are heated, while dual zone climate control, leather trim for the shift knob and steering wheel, adjustable pedals, CD player and Boston Acoustics stereo further enhance the luxury interior. A sunroof, TV with video game connectivity, heated rear seats and navigation system are options that take the 300C to the next level. The UConnect? multimedia system with 6.5-inch display screen features phone and portable audio device connectivity, and can act as a Wi-Fi hotspot so you can surf the web on your laptop from the comfort of your 300’s interior.
