2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI

2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI was a global hit. The car is sixth generation of the original hot hatch, and nothing if not simple and beautiful.

The new 2010 Volkswagen Golf GTI features the classic red-rimmed honeycomb grille and big rotary-dial alloy wheels. Volkswagen GTI exterior styling is not all that different from the last generation, though the car is a little lower and wider. The GTI line has always managed to look faster and classier than its price point would suggest, inside and out, and the 2010 model is no exception. It isn’t so much of a generational leap than a bettering of the last version.

The new GTI is equiped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, it is connected to an acoustically-tuned exhaust system terminating in a pair of tailpipes at the rear bumper’s bottom corners. The engine develops 155kW and 280Nm, the Mk VI GTI is the most powerful GTI yet, covering the 0-100km/h sprint in 6.9 seconds, the top speed is 240km/h. It boasts the same 0-100 time as the manual model, however top speed is down by 2km/h and economy is slightly worse off at 7.4 l/100km.
