Bentley unveiled the 2011 update to its Continental GT online Tuesday, showing off a car with more pronounced body work, new cabin tech, and, for the first time, a choice of engines.

To retain a smooth surface without blemish, some exterior aluminum panels were created using a process called Super Forming, in which they are heated to 500 degrees Celsius and shaped with air pressure.

The Continental GT still comes with the same twin-turbocharged 12-cylinder engine as the previous generation, although power has been increased to 567 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. This engine can now be fueled with E85 or even regular unleaded gasoline.

Next year, Bentley will make a more economical 4-liter V-8 available for the Continental GT.

A new cabin tech suite includes hard-drive-based navigation, iPod integration, and a Bluetooth phone system. The navigation system integrates with Google maps. Bentley boasts that the graphical interface was designed in house, suggesting that the hardware was sourced from parent company Volkswagen.
