2011 Toyota Highlander

2011 Toyota Highlander has been unveiled, it will go on sale later this year, and this model has the basic styling and features, gets styling revisions to its nose and tail and a slight cabin revamp.

2011 Toyota Highlander designed at Calty Design Research in Newport Beach, Calif. These are the first alterations to this second-generation Highlander, The headlights and tail lamps are also redesigned, as are the 17-inch alloy wheels. The Limited Grade offers stylish 19-inch wheels and also features silver roof rails. The SE grade gains a power liftgate. It’s more assertive-looking, too, with crisply folded sheetmetal and husky fender bulges. Size-wise, the 2011 Toyota Highlander remains smack-dab in the middle of the midsize-crossover category.

Inside, all models equipped with three-row seating, front and rear air conditioning, rear privacy glass and a tilt /telescopic steering wheel. Options include GPS navigation, a JBL premium audio system, leather upholstery (with heated front seats) and a power moonroof.

The 2011 Toyota Highlander powered by a four and six cylinder gasoline engines. The Hybrid again teams a gas V-6 with electric power.  Toyota could choose to expand availability of the 187-horsepower 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine beyond just the front-drive Base-model Highlander.  Gas V-6 2011 Highlanders will continue to use a 270-horsepower 3.5-liter and offer a choice of front-wheel drive or AWD. Toyota shuld dump the five-speed automatic in favor of the more advanced six-speed automatic used with the four-cylinder engine. The 2011 Highlander Hybrid will continue to net 270 horsepower by mating a 3.3 -liter V-6 with two electric motors.
