BMW X coupe Concept

BMW has debuted BMW X coupe at the 2001 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, it is base on X5 sport-utility-sized coupe, also is an all-wheel drive.

BMW X coupe is designed as a pure styling standpoint, features an aluminium body and stands 58.3 inches high. It is designed as the ultimate expression of the sporty vehicle, X coupe has traditionally been built for athletic driving on the road.

The X Coupe concept inherits the four wheel drive system “All Season Traction (AST)”. BMW have taken a bold step with the lighting system on the X Coupe concept. The headlamps move with the front wheels (much like on old Citroens) illuminating bends in the road.

BMW X coupe concept is powered by an advanced BMW 3.0-liter, six-cylinder turbodiesel engine, developing 184 horsepower and 332 ft-lbs. It is equiped with a five-speed Steptronic automanual transmission that includes shift paddles on the steering wheel, the top speed can hit 125 mph.
