Cadillac CTS Coupe Concept for 2011 model
By luanpa in Cadillac | December 20, 2009 | (0) CommentsGM has unveiling 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe concept. Cadillac has officially taken the wraps off the 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe. Originally planned as a 2010 model, The 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe concept will be available in spring of 2010.
The release was pushed back as General Motors slogged through bankruptcy restructuring and the sexy 2+2 will now debut at the Los Angeles auto show before hitting the market in the spring. Rear- and all-wheel-drive variants will be available, while a 556-hp CTS-V Coupe also is en route and will debut later in 2010.
2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe concept isn’t just about looks. The only engine offered is a 3.6-liter V-6 featuring direct injection and delivering 304 hp. A choice of six-speed transmissions will be available, though only rear-wheel-drive cars are available with a clutch pedal. Two suspension packages are offered: a so-called performance package includes 18-inch wheels and all-season tires while the summer tire performance package upgrades to 19-inch wheels and Continental summer tires, though it can’t be paired with AWD. A Limited-slip differential is standard for all CTS Coupes. A V-series Coupe will follow, likely at the Detroit show.
Inside, driver and passenger can choose Recaro buckets borrowed from the CTS-V sedan for more support during spirited driving. Cadillac’s pop-up navigation system remains an option as well as Bluetooth, and a Bose surround sound system. Those stuck riding in the rear seat will give up quite a bit of personal space compared with a CTS Sedan, but there are only two seats back there in the Coupe. Sometimes comfort is sacrificed for fashion and the CTS Coupe is plenty fashionable.
