BMW Brank plans to unveil a new MINI Van. The first van within BMW Group is apparently based on the Clubman model and is shaping up to be a work-ready hauler with the rear bench seat removed.

BMW van has also been rumored in the past. To stay true to its van designation, the rear side windows will be ditched for sheetmetal. BMW mini-van as a model mixing the space and flexibility of an MPV, the solidity of an SAV with the shape of a larger Touring model, but have maintain the car-like appearance.

Volkswagen has release the new Passat CC as the 2013 model, according to the official it be unveiled at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, and the 2013 Volkswagen Passat CC will go on sale in the Spring of 2012. Volkswagen has managed to sell an impressive 270,000 units after 2008.

The changes from 2012 Volkswagen Passat CC model, includes a new front and rear styling, and an extended range of standard equipment, including standard Bi-Xenon headlights with an Adaptive Front Lighting System and LED taillights. On the US market, the CC will be offered with a choice of 197 HP and 276 HP engines and with a manual six-speed gearbox. In Europe, the engine line-up will also include diesel versions.

2013 Passat CC has received new front and rear styling, customers will benefit from new bi-xenon headlights, static cornering lights, and a new LED tail light design without having to add any options. New assistance systems are making their way into the CC as well. They include optional technologies such as Side Assist Plus with integrated Lane Assist.

The Volkswagen Passat CC will be powered by innovative petrol and diesel direct-injection engines. All petrol engines also have battery regeneration functionality. The TDI engines output 103 kW / 140 PS and 125 kW / 170 PS. The petrol engines of the European CC versions develop a sporty 118 kW / 160 PS, 155 kW / 210 PS and 220 kW / 300 PS of power. In the USA, the Volkswagen will once again launch with petrol engines that output 147 kW / 200 PS (TSI) and 206 kW / 280 PS (FSI). All engines go to work with excellent efficiency. A prime example is the 140 PS TDI. Together with a manual six-speed gearbox, its combined fuel consumption is just 4.7 l/100 km (equivalent to 125 g/km CO2).

2013 Volkswagen Passat CC will go on sale in the Spring of 2012 on the US market. The prices will be announced at a later date.

2013 Audi A4 is released, it is the eighth generation of Audi A4. 2013 Audi A4 is a key model, and its update reflects that.

The Audi A4 is 39 years and in its eighth generation now. The line has become even more clearly defined and striking in all models: the Sedan, the Avant, the allroad quattro and the S4.

Following on from the i40 estate model unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, Hyundai i40 saloon designed and engineered at the company’s research and development headquarters in Germany, taken from a central theme of ‘fluidic sculpture’

According to Hyundai, The best-in-class dimensions for front head (1025mm), shoulder (1455mm), and leg (1170mm) room, giving the “most comfortable D-segment ride available”. When the i40 saloon hits the market in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The all-new i40 will be offered with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines, with power ranging from 115bhp in the entry-level 1.7-litre diesel up to a 175bhp 2-litre petrol. A 133bhp 1.6-litre petrol and 1.7-litre diesel producing 134bhp complete the engine line-up. The latter will be available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox as an option.

Hyundai is also offering the option of its Blue Drive technology, which features stop and start technology and low-resistance tyres, which lowers the lower-powered diesel’s CO2 emissions to 113g/km with average fuel consumption of 65.7mpg.

Hyundai has been the star of the Barcelona event so far, an unusual situation even though the show is considered one of Europe’s smaller events. The Barcelona International Motor Show runs May 14-22 in Barcelona, Spain.

2012 Buick LaCrosse eAssist

The eAssist is an updated mild-hybrid system for midsize sedan models of General Motors. The eAssist system is paired with 2012 Buick LaCrosse.

The 2012 Buick LaCrosse is a sharp-looking midsize sedan, Buick made a point of not changing 98 percent of the car’s exterior design in fitting it with the eAssist package. The LaCrosse’s large dimensions and wheel wells designed to properly house 19 -inchers at all four corners just make this eAssist-specific.

But what is the eAssist? The eAssist system enhances fuel mileage by “assisting” the gasoline engine, either by shutting down the engine when the car comes to a stop or cutting off the fuel supply when cruising or decelerating. The motor-generator continues spinning along with the engine to provide immediate and smooth take-off power when the driver presses on the accelerator.

This new BAS design has noteworthy fuel economy gains compared to the earlier system, but neither come close to fuel mileage delivered by a “full hybrid” operation. However, the eAssist is more complex and performs better than the “micro hybrid”stop-start systems deployed in the Porsche’s 2011 Cayenne and Panamera models. Buick’s eAssist is closer in function and fuel economy to the “mild hybrid” systems used in the Honda Insight and BMW ActiveHybrid 7.

Though the officially classified as a mid-size car, dimensionally the LaCrosse is closer to a large sedan. The LaCrosse never cuts costs with the choice of cabin materials. Even at night, drivers are rewarded with an ice blue ambient lighting package.

2012 Buick LaCrosse is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, produces a perfectly adequate 182 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. The o-60 MPH time is about 2.6 seconds. Buick will offer the LaCrosse with eAssist as a no-cost option on the base car for the next model year; meaning buyers can select this setup or the V6 for the same price.

2013 Ford Taurus at New York Auto Show

Ford Motor will launch a restyled 2013 Ford Taurus family sedan at 2011 New York Auto Show. It will be the first vehicle in Ford’s lineup to offer two direct-injection turbocharged EcoBoost engine choices.

As Ford’s flagship sedan, 2013 Ford Taurus sees better fuel economy, more technology, enhanced design, improved craftsmanship and sharpened dynamics, according to Ford.

The 2013 Taurus will offer a re-engineered version of the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine currently available in the 2013 ford Taurus SHO. It also will offer the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine used in the Ford Mondeo sedan in Europe. The 2013 Taurus with the 2.0-liter engine is expected to achieve 31 mpg highway.

All 2013 Ford Taurus models are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transaxle, although the SHO features a beefed-up gearbox with sequential paddle shifters.

2013 Ford Taurus SHO is able to put that power with a standard all-wheel-drive system that incorporates a limited-slip diff and large wheels and tires. The SHO comes with 19-in. wheels fitted with V-rated P255/45 rubber, while 20-in. wheels are optional. The suspension is tauter and the brakes are also upgraded.

Transmission will include a 5-speed manual or optional 6-speed automatic on 2.5L models. Volkswagen’s acclaimed Direct-Shift Gearbox 6-speed dual-clutch transmission will be offered on the TDI Clean Diesel and 2.0L TSI turbocharged gasoline models, while a 6-speed manual will come standard.

The 2012 Beetle 2.0L TDI is the most fuel-efficient Beetle ever. The quiet, four-cylinder 2.0L TDI Clean Diesel engine produces 140 hp and 236 lb. feet of torque. It meets all U.S. emission limits and offers a manufacturer estimate of 40 mpg highway, 29 mpg city and 33 mpg combined.

Volvo unveiled Concept Universe at 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, it is a range-topping luxury sedan concept. We think Volvo Concept Universe loose interpretation of what we’ll see on the roads.

Volvo aims to design incorporate the simplicity of Scandinavian, and it is primarily geared to the Chinese market. Volvo design boss Peter Horbury feels the vehicle looks hand-crafted and durable, It is unmatched in performance and technology, but without superficiality or complication.

This concept features a coupe-like roofline, combines with a modern interpretation of the boxy Volvos of the past. Another homage to older Volvo models includes convex style lines between the wheel wells. Up front, the Concept Universe appears to borrow some lines from the Ford Interceptor concept. The grille is totally new for Volvo, with a series of shrinking, rounded rectangles; each smaller than the next.

Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec

Chevrolet first revealed the Volt Z-Spec, the Spark Z-Spec, and the Cruze Z-Spec at the 2010 SEMA Show. Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec Concept at the North American International Auto Show earlier 2010.

Utilizing both exterior and interior upgrades, Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec accessory packs are designed to underline the Sonic model’s youthful and aggressive styling. The exterior is distinguished by a massive rear-deck spoiler, an orange paint scheme, and eighteen-inch multi-spoke BBS wheels. The interior is also defined by the same orange color scheme, as well as new Recaro seats covered in tan leather.

The Chevrolet Sonic Z-Spec will come equipped with a 1.4-liter turbo four-cylinder rated at 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque paired with a six-speed manual gearbox; a naturally-aspirated 1.8-liter four-banger pushing out 135 hp and 123 lb-ft paired with a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearboxes will be offered.

2011 Renault Latitude is based extensively on the SM5, it is for people who appreciate superior quality materials and comfort in every aspect of a car. Renault Latitude measures nearly 4.90 mt in length, 1.48 mt in width and a wheelbase of 2.76 mt, more than enough space to accommodate five people on board.

The basic Renault Latitude is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 225/50 rubber, while the top-spec Latitude Luxe gets 18-inch alloys and 225/45 tyres.

The European model will definitely be powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine, produces 235 hp, 450 Nm of torque, the top speed is 235 km/h, the 0-100 km/h time is only 7.6 seconds. Malibu has been transformed from a rear-wheel-drive car with V-8 to front-wheel drive and V-6 and four-cylinder engines. Now in the new model, GM says the Malibu will put an emphasis on fuel economy with a range of four-cylinder engines and six-speed transmissions. A GM spokesman says no V-6 powertrain will be offered in the new Malibu.

More than 600,000 Malibu cars have been sold globally since 2008, The 2013 Malibu represents the eighth generation of the nameplate.

The full range of ECOnetic technologies are employed including Auto Start-Stop, regenerative braking, electric power steering, unique aerodynamic package with Active Grille Shutter, low rolling resistance tyres, Eco Mode and shift indicator light.

Focus promises to be even more efficient than the smaller Ford Fiesta ECOnetic, which uses 3.7 litres/100km. The Focus’s CO2 emissions will also be lower, rated at 95g/km versus the Fiesta’s 98g/km.

Cadillac ATS is getting shaken down on the proving ground. Because there is a video that shows the entry-level ATS in motion. We had written a post about the Cadillac ATS in the pass post.

Cadillac ATS is expected to grow in size, and Cadillac ATS will be GM’s weapon against the BMW 3 Series. While most of the styling details are covered by camouflage, the ATS will have an “Art & Science” design with vertical lighting units and a dual exhaust system.

Cadillac ATS will be built at the Lansing Grand River assembly plant and ride on the new rear-wheel drive Alpha platform, and has a shorter wheelbase in comparison to the CTS. The ATS will be equiped with a a mid-engine, it is a turbocharged four-cylinder and a V6 engine which could be receive twin-turbos in the ATS-V.

The new Cadillac ATS is scheduled to followed by an estate, coupe, and convertible.
