BMW has announced a compact SUV BMW X4, it may be a smaller version of the X6, the production will be built due in 2014.

As the smaller BMW x6, It will feature a similar four-door layout and a sloping roofline towards the rear. And X4 is based on the same platform as the BMW X3.

The X4 is expected to come with a choice of four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines mated to a six-speed manual, seven-speed double-clutch or optional eight-speed automatic gearbox. As with the X3, BMW does not plan a two-wheel-drive version.

The BMW X4 line-up could conceivably include an M-badged version, perhaps powered by the twin-turbo 3.0 litre six that drives the limited-edition 1 Series M. and the price will slot in above the X3 in terms of price and specification.

Ford unveiled the all-new EcoSport Concept at the 2012 New Dehli Auto Show in India. The all new EcoSport concept is a new compact SUV, it is actually a thinly disguised future production model.

Ford EcoSport was developed in South America, it was designed to combine best-in-class design, technology, quality and safety aimed at attracting a new generation of consumers in different global markets. Ford EcoSport will be created as the latest One Ford global product, the EcoSport will be a key model in expanding Ford’s presence in major worldwide growth markets.

The EcoSport will be produced at ultra-modern, flexible assembly plants in Brazil, India, and other markets to be announced at a later time. The EcoSport as a global vehicle is an example of the technical ability of Ford’s global engineering and high level of integration of the design and engineering centres around the world.

America based auto major has introduced the new 1.0 L EcoBoost petrol engine for the first time in the compact SUV with some promising performance equalling the 1.6 L capacity petrol engine. The 1.5 L powertrain fills in for the diesel option. Ford EcoSport price however could be around Rs 8 lakh mark. The all-new Ford EcoSport has been engineered to meet the most demanding safety standards in the various markets where it will be sold.

The previous EcoSport was launched in South America in 2003 and has sold 700,000 vehicles since. It will use the same B-segment architecture seen on the Fiesta and the B-Max.

2013 Ford Flex is seven-passenger, three-row crossover debuts at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show. It is equiped with high-tech features to make it more appealing to tech-savvy dudes.

2013 Ford Flex gets a new front fascia with a bold and nicely designed grille and spaceship-like headlights. The rest of the car is pretty much the same as the old one. 2013 Ford Flex is available on the Limited and SEL models and offers a two-tone roof and mirrors, 20-inch machined aluminum wheels with painted pockets, leather seats, unique door trim panels and other interior upgrades.

Chevrolet is planning a new SUV- Chevrolet Aveo SUV . The new SUV will be designed and engineered by GM’s Korean R&D centre, which was responsible for the Cruze and Beat.

Chevrolet Aveo SUV will be a compact crossover based on an extended version of the new Aveo supermini. It will come off at the Paris Motor Show in autumn 2012, and the car will take the fight to Ford’s new Fiesta SUV. The new SUV will feature a selectable front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive along with an option of 6 engines.

The production version will get similar styling to the GPiX concept, and although it will be front-wheel drive as standard, potent range-topping models will be offered with the option of 4WD.

The SUV will also feature Chevy’s new Ecotec turbo petrol engines, plus a 1.6-litre diesel that complies with strict new Euro VI emissions regulations.

The Audi Q6 was first reported as far back as 2006, as we know Audi A6 is a proposed SUV, and it is hoped to compare to BMW X6. According to the Audi official, Audi A6 is expected to make a debut only in 2014.

As far as we can tell, the Audi Q6 is based on the Audi A6, and will be slotted between the Audi Q5 and the Audi Q7, and will share its underpinnings with the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne.

Audi Q6 will most likely be longer than the Q5, judging from the additional sheet metal in the middle of the cabin section. It will be styled less radical than the X6, just to maintain livability and good outside visibility. The weigh is under 2 tonnes and will be 370 to 400 kg lighter than the bigger Audi Q7.

The Audi Q6 will be equiped with a variety of petrol and diesel engines plus a hybrid option, it is a turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine under the bonnet as seen on the new generation RS6.

The Navigator’s passive safety features consist of an AdvanceTrac stability control system with Roll Stability Control systems.

Ford is planing to debut Ford Fiesta SUV, which is based on the Fiesta supermini, and is due to make its official world debut at 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

Ford Fiesta SUV will probably be fitted with the stop-start system as standard and it will eco-friendly with low CO2 emissions. Customers of the new Ford mini SUV will also get the choice for two or four-wheel drive with a starting price from around 16.000 pounds for the entry-level.

British off-road Land Rover are planning to introduce a drop-top model that will compete with the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet and Audi Q5 Cabrio. The vehicle would likely be based on the three-door Evoque and could be launched as soon as 2013.

Land Rover claims a key part of the appeal of the regular car – on sale as a three and five-door from September. This four-seater crossover has a canvas hood, and is designed specifically for American customers – a lucrative market the Evoque cabriolet could also exploit.

Range Rover Evoque cabrio is a two-door vehicle, It folds away by picking up one side of the seat. Gravity, along with the angles used, enables the stool to fold out when put back down. The angle on top of the legs has been designed to add maximum strength. Bentley CEO Wolfgang Duerheimer confirmed the company is planning a SUV to compete with Range Rover, BMW X5 and Mercedes-Benz M-Class.

Wolfgang Durheimer confirmed there is enough customer demand for the brand to finally produce a sport utility vehicle. Rumors of a Bentley SUV have been swirling since the Continental GT rose to prominence and have persisted through high gas prices and the economy explosion. But, now that things seem to be settling a bit, the timing is apparently right.

The all-new Bentley SUV will be ready for the market after 2013, it will be based on the same platform as the future Porsche Cayenne of the same generation. This SUV is not likely to be just a jacked up Continental. This means they’re getting this thing out the door very, very fast as we’re sitting on a new Mulsanne and a new Conti right now.

Peugeot 508 RXH Diesel-hybrid

Peugeot official has revealed the 2012 Peugeot 508 RXH diesel-electric hybrid, and it will be debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

The hybrid system is mated to a four-wheel-drive system, it is capable of traveling on only electric power, although no range figures have been provided. According to Peugeot, the 508 RXH uses less than 4.2 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers in the combined cycle.

The 2012 Peugeot 508 RXH is the first model in the Peugeot 508 line-up to benefit from Peugeot’s Hybri4 technology, it is powered by a 120 kW 2.0 litre HDi FAP diesel engine with a 28 kW electric motor. The system produces 450 Nm of torque. RXH is also the first model in the 508 range with an all-wheel-drive layout.

Thanks to its hybrid powertrain, the 508 RXH lists combined-cycle fuel consumption figures of 4.2 L/100km, bettering the 5.7 L/100km offered by the diesel engine in its regular non-hybrid guise.

2012 Peugeot 508 RXH diesel-electric hybrid will go on sale in spring of 2012. Peugeot says it will extend its HYbrid4 technology to additional vehicles in the near future. Learn more in the official press release after the jump.

Land Rover and Jaguar mixed ideas to create two new 5.0-litre V8s, expecting power outputs of around 350bhp and 460bhp, with or without a supercharger. A 4.0-liter diesel and hybrid powertrain are also on the horizon. the sport edition mated to eight-speed ZF gearboxes with stop-start. Land Rover will also offer a V8 engine at a later date .

According to the offcial, the price of Range Rover Sport wil l state at $60495.

2014 Porsche Cajun 3-door

Porsche announced its compact SUV Cajun last year. Porsche Cajun will be first launched in a three-door body style-2014 Porsche Cajun 3-door version, which is its sporty character will differentiate it from its platform mate, the Audi Q5.

Porsche had wanted to launch the Cajun as a five-door model. But it could affect the sales of the Q5, so a three-door Cajun was decided upon. The five-door version may still be a possibility in the future.

The Porsche Cajun three-door will also sport a much more dynamic exterior to distinguish itself from the Audi Q5. Porsche Cajun three-door will have unique body panels and a coupe-like profile, wider and lower body, shorter wheelbase and smaller front/rear overhangs. The Porsche Cajun will be sharing technical tidbits with the Audi Q5, means the two model will have similar components such as steering, transmission, axles, and the four-wheel-drive system.

Porsche Cajun three-door Cajun will offer four units – a 2.0L turbo petrol with 240 hp; a 3.0L turbo petrol V6 with 290 hp; a 2.0L diesel with 190 hp; and a 3.0L diesel V6 with 265 hp. While the gasoline V6 unit could spawn a 350HP version. Further plans include a hybrid model, which will be technically identical to the Audi Q5 Hybrid. The Cajun is expected to be launched in late 2012 or early 2013.

It will easily ride zero-60 mph in 5 seconds. Top speed is limited to 155 mph, and the quarter mile is dispatched in the mid-13s.

To reduce fuel consumption, an active valve exhaust system cuts out four cylinders, which Jeep says helps increase fuel economy by 13 percent on the highway. Combined with a large gas tank, Jeep says the Grand Cherokee SRT8 should be capable of a 450 mile range.

Jeep didn’t provide us with the price. We know that the new 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 goes on sale in the fall.

Peugeot will unveil this large crossover concept at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show. They had released official pictures and full details. Peugeot SXC Crossover Concept was designed in Shanghai China Tech Center, it was created to suit the Chinese market.

The Peugeot SXC Crossover Concept is a blend of modern automotive Chinese styling and traditional Peugeot design. It was also created keeping typical sedan styling in mind while accommodating for a high-driving SUV undercarriage. Peugeot SXC Crossover Concept is 4.87m long, 1.61m high and 2.04m wide.

The most striking feature is the counter-opening doors giving access ti the four-seater. The design of the front is punctuated with the cat-eye-like headlamps along with LED daytime running lights and 22-inch wheels add further design accents. LED technology also accentuate the boomerang-shaped tail lights.

The concept is equiped with Peugeot’s HYbrid4 system, powered by a 218-horsepower 1.6-liter turbodiesel, the four driving the front wheels to a 95hp electric motor at the back for through-the-road all-wheel-drive and a combined output of 313hp. The most striking feature is the counter-opening doors giving access ti the four-seater. Ford Australia’s product development director, Russell Christophers, explained the Territory had sold more than 120,000 units since its launch in 2004, and at its peak controlled one-third of the medium SUV market.

Volkswagen Touareg is excellent sales figures, it is one third of VWs sold at the start of the year. The second-gen Volkswagen Touareg is very impressive is 2011 model.

As a vision for the off-road capable SUV, 2011 Volkswagen Touareg is roomier, more powerful, more efficient, more lighter and more expensive vehicle. It will be upwards of 400 pounds lighter in some trims—base models will be 460 pounds lighter. With the cleanness and quality backseat to its four-wheel drive system, so you can do a bang-up job of getting me around.

In my opinion, there is no mistaking 2011 Volkswagen Touareg for the large SUV it is. With slightly longer 1.6 inch and wider 0.5 inch than the first generation. The extra length is mostly in the wheelbase, and this improves the rear seat leg room. The sliding rear seat is more spacious than before, still with seating for five.

Exterior, the front is a narrower grille opening that connects to the trapezoidal headlight housings that carry U-shaped LED running lights and Bi-Xenon High Intensity Gas-Discharged headlamps. The housings flow into a pair of compact fog lamps at the lower portion of the front fascia stand underneath the Touareg’s front air intakes. The back of the Touareg is defined with pronounced curves around the hatch area, new “L-Design” taillights, and a blacked out lower bumper with a set of shaped, chrome exhaust tips.

The hood features a raised portion that runs from the grille back, finishing at the side mirrors and giving a more muscular appearance. A chrome accent strip carries from behind the front wheels, and runs along the bottom of the doors to complement the chrome touches bordering the windows.

The interior of 2011 Volkswagen Touareg is nice, all Touaregs get convenience features like dual climate control, an iPod adapter, cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free, heated seats, rain-sensing wipers, a rear-view camera, ABS and stability control, which makes it a true foul-weather friend. The 6.5-inch touchscreen DVD system, which will be standard in the U.S., is easy to navigate and has a 3-D view with major landmarks built in. A 60-GB hard drive has 18 GB set aside for you to download your media.

The engine is equiped with a conventional gasoline V-6 (3.6-liter, 280-horsepower) unit, the clean-diesel 3.0-liter V-6 TDI that makes 225 horsepower, and then the new Hybrid, which combines a supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 with an electric traction motor for total power of 380 horsepower. The top engine in the Touareg lineup in both Europe and the U.S. is the hybrid model, which teams the supercharged V-6 from Audi’s new S4 sedan and S5 cabrio with a 47-hp electric motor for a claimed combined system output of 380 hp and 427 lb-ft.

2011 Volkswagen Touareg has an 8-speed automatic transmission, and is rated to tow 7700 pounds. Even the Hybrid. All-wheel drive is standard, a simplified variant of 4Motion. The luxury trim is a complete effort and execution by Volkswagen that’s impressive in its scope and attention to detail.

BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo

Alpina has released details of B5 Bi-Turbo, and BMW will unveil BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Touring car at the 2011 Geneva motor show.

The BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Touring is the wagon variant of the B5 Bi-Turbo sedan model based on the BMW 5-Series.

Limit information has been released, but we know BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo will be a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 507 horsepower and 516 lb/ft of torque and mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The 0-60 mph time is only 4.7s, Top speed on the B5 Bi-Turbo is 307 km/h (191 mph) but Auto Bild reports this Touring will have a 300 km/h (186 mph) limit. Fuel-economy will be 10.9 liters/100 km compared to 10.8 for the sedan.

Renault revealed Renault Captur concept at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, and sports crossover showcases will be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.

Renault Captur concept’s design strategy which resulted from this is founded on different stages of the human life cycle, with each phase taking the form of a specific concept car. The first, the two-seater DeZir coupé, expressed ‘falling in love’, the passion present at the beginning of any new adventure. Renault CAPTUR concept addresses the second phase of this cycle, that of two people exploring the world around them. Renault brings the vehicle into production, the company won’t create a gap between the concept and the final version that is as big as the one chosen for the Dacia Duster.

Captur is also a practical and versatile vehicle. It is fitted with a hard convertible top which, once removed, reveals a carbon fibre framework. CAPTUR can thus transform itself from a coupé to a convertible, from an urban vehicle to an off-roader, while its overall sporty appeal is reinforced by its butterfly doors and big tyres fitted to 22-inch black and white rims.

According to the official Renault Captur concept is powered by an all-new 1.6-litre dCi twin-turbo engine offering 118kW of power and 380Nm of torque. This is then channeled through a four-wheel drive system via a twin-clutch automatic gearbox.

2011 Volkswagen Race Touareg 3 Qatar Concept

At the first Qatar Motor Show (26-29 Jan, 2011), Volkswagen has given a slimly tamer version of the Touareg 3 that started in the Dakar Rally at the beginning of Jan 2011 ; this 228 kilowatt 310 PS Volkswagen could very well be the world’s most gifted street-legal SUV.

This is a genuine Rally motorsport vehicle, like the one that was still touring South America in the Dakar Rally two weeks ago and was built to withstand the toughest rally race in the world. The vehicle now being shown in Qatar is a version of the Race Touareg 3 – an SUV that can sprint to 60 mph in less than six seconds – that is legally approved for use on public roadways. The just over two meter wide body was slightly modified for road use. Instead of 16-inch wheels, new 18-inch wheels from BBS with a gold look are being used. The “Race Touareg” signature – also in a golden color – stretches the entire length of the vehicle’s sides. In turn, it is perfectly coordinated with the exterior paint in “Magic Morning,” a white that has a slight gold shimmer to it.

The interior was completely redesigned; all that remained unmodified was the safety cage. Without compromises also means an interior that offers easy controls and is ergonomic. The interior has a well-organized appearance with focus on the driving machine, and it is equipped with Recaro racing bucket seats. Designers created an interior in so-called “Stealth look” that is reminiscent of the aircraft of the same name. In tribute to the Dakar Rally, the Dakar victories are etched in the anodized aluminum of the center console, right next to the “Race Touareg” signature.

Other trim elements are treated in Matt Carbon. Tuned to this is the roll cage in “Serpentino Grey Metallic.” Interior designers have upholstered the seat side supports and the door trim panels with Nubuk leather in “Black” and “Pure Grey,” while the center seat panels are made from perforated Nappa leather in “Titan Black.” Additional accents include the two-tone seams and silver piping on the seat covers and safety-related items painted in “Tornado Red.” The only other ingredient that is needed is some time to explore the world on a “360 degree route” in this uncompromising car.

Simultaneously, the Volkswagen Touareg Gold Edition Concept also features at Qatar Motor Show, it is a one-of-kind specially decorated with 24-Carat gold parts.

Volkswagen is currently thinking about putting the car into production, however, definite confirmation is yet to be sorted.If the Volkswagen Race Touareg 3 Qatar does make it onto the market, it is likely to be available in limited numbers only.

The 2011 Geneva motor show will host the debut of the new Fiat Freemont, which will go on sale in the second half of 2011.The Fiat Freemont built on the base of the Dodge Journey , is the first Fiat vehicle to come out of the partnership with the Chrysler Group.It will be produced in the Mexican plant of Toluca, where the 500 is produced for the US market.

To simplify the selection and purchase process, only two outfits will be provided that are aimed at different customer types.The equipment level for both outfits is extremely comprehensive and all the main content items comply with the ‘Fiat fair price’ strategy.Both outfits will offer 7 seats, triple-zone automatic climate control system, keyless entry system, cruise control, advanced trip computer, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), fog lights and touchscreen radio with colour screen and controls on the steering wheel.The more metropolitan version will include 17″ alloys, touchscreen radio with 8.4″ screen, SD card and DVD reader, Bluetooth system, rear parking sensors, fold-down door mirrors, automatic headlight activation, darkened rear windows and roof bars.

2011 MR Car Design Audi Q7

German tuning house MR Car Design has finished developing their latest performance upgraded for the Audi Q7 and its 4.2-litre TDI engine.

For an output upgrade, the 4.2 liter TDI diesel engine gets a new K & N air filter and some ECU optimization that dials power up to 374 PS/275 kW (series 326 PS/240 kW) and 870 Nm (642 lb-ft) of torque (series 760 Nm/560 lb-ft).MR Car Design also offers to lift the “tiresome” (as they describe it) Vmax and remove any electronic speed limit.

The MR Car Design Audi Q7 comes with additional modification of daytime running lights from 2008 to 2010 levels, installation of LED indicator strip and performance improvement, so this noble racer is very close to new recently face-lifted model.The cost of such upgrade is 6999 Euro.

The Erftstadt-based tuner provides the Q7 with new 22-inch alloy wheels, MRGT22, in 9.5 x 22 dimensions with Icebear (polar bear) W300 tires sized 265/35R22.Electronic suspension lowering is also on offer.
