Ford Iosis Max concept car

Ford iosis Max concept first unveiled at the Geneva motor show. This is a multi-purpose car. Ford iosis Max looks like the 2010 Ford Focus.

The inside of  Ford iosis Max concept  is typical of all concepts, pretty wild. The car’s dashboard is otherworldly, and the center console is made of plexiglass that “rolls down from the instrument panel like a ribbon and flows through to the rear.” Whatever. We do like the carbon fiber Star Trek-like bucket seats. They’re mounted to that flowing ribbon of plexiglass instead of the floor, creating the illusion they’re floating on air.The lower trapezoidal grille, for instance, will in future feature these horizontal chromed strakes, echoing the feature lines on the bonnet, and the Blue Oval badge appears more prominently in the middle of the higher, Fiesta-style grille.

Ford iosis Max concept is a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine for 177 horsepower, which gives the performance of a 2.0-litre unit with 20 per cent better economy. The engine is paired with a six-speed, dual-clutch transmission. Ford has boldly named the twin-clutch ‘box PowerShift — more than a little over the top for a transmission that’s only being tasked with torque loads from a 1.6-liter turbo. That engine will be rolled out across most bigger Ford models starting later this year.
