Hennessey Venom GT almost is the world’s fastest, most expensive, and exclusive hybrid car ever built. It’s another creation by well-known tuner Hennessey Performance Engineering.

Hennessey Venom GT is an American-designed and built supercars, Originally announced way back in 2007, the Venom GT has gone through several iterations while still on the drawing board. The latest – and likely final, at least for the concept – reveal a car that’s likely to prove uncompromisingly fast. Hennessey Performance Engineering previewing its Venom GT Concept for the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It will have a production curb weight of less than 2,400 lbs (1,071 kilos) thanks to lightweight carbon fiber bodywork and carbon fiber wheels.

An active aero system with adjustable rear wing will deploy under varying conditions on both the road and racetrack. An adjustable suspension system will allow ride height adjustments according to speed and driving conditions.

The surper car is powered by 6.2-liter LS9 V8 (the same as in the Corvette ZR1) tweaked by Hennessey to 725 bhp. 1000 bhp and 1200 bhp twin turbo V8 engine variants will be offered as well. The mid-engine V8 will transmit its power to them massive Michelin PS2 tires on the rear via a Ricardo 6-speed gearbox. Stopping power is delivered via Brembo brakes with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers in rear clamping down on 15-inch carbon ceramic rotors.

Hennessey has not released official performance specs yet, but the 1200 bhp version is expected to hit 0-100 km/h in 2.2 seconds, while the top speed is around 420 km/h (262 mph).

Production will be limited to just 10 units per year making it even more exclusive than Koenigsegg CCX. Four have already been sold at around $600,000 apiece, so that means there’s six more, if you’re seriously interested in this mean little ride.
