This vehicle is the Sofia sedan from the I.DE.A Institute. The design firm is based in Moncalieri on the outskirts of Turin, and it was showed off at 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

The I.DE.A Institute Sofia Concept is a four-seater sedan, it is a development on the no-door Era concept convertible, and base on the firm’s unique design philosophy Moncalieri as well as the talents its employees. According to the I.DE.A Institute’s official, The Sofia was built to feature an hourglass shape when viewed from above, with heavy sculpting at the front and back.

I.DE.A Institute Sofia Concept is equiped with a a hybrid powertrain. This is an eight-cylinder engine in mind, Influences have been taken from past Italian cars as well as the curvature of the female body but sadly, the concept is purely a design exercise and isn’t headed to production in any form. I.DE.A Institute are now in preparation to start working closely with major automakers in Europe, Asia and South America.

The I.DE.A Institute claims to have contributed to designs for numerous major automakers, but in its 30-year history has produced more household appliances and furniture.
