Mercedes Benz F700 Concept first debut at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. It may look more like a spaceship from Star Trek than a passenger car and has polarised opinions since its debut, it will win a lot of fans from the Green army.

Mercedes Benz F700 is powered by a DiesOtto 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine and a hybrid drive, it boasts an impressive 175kW (238 hp) output while consuming just 5.3-litres of petrol per 100 km – equivalent to CO2 emissions of just 127 grams per km. In comparison, the Lexus GS450h has CO2 emissions of 186 g/km. The F 700 also uses a transparent cover over the rear-wheels to enhance aerodynamics. Mercedes claims the F 700 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.5 seconds.
