By luanpa in Nissan | November 24, 2010 | (1) CommentNissan launched the Nissan Ellure concept at 2010 LA show, it a stunning new hybrid concept, and points the way for the design of a future midsize sedan.
The front-wheel-drive sedan has such futuristic design elements as a deeply skirted front fascia, full underbody pan, molded side rearview camera housings, small wheel openings and transparent wheel covers. The front doors open to 90 degrees, and the rear doors are rear hinged. A full tinted glass roof boasts integrated interior nighttime accent lighting. The Ellure’s exterior has Geode White mica paint with pearlescent/gold flake and rides on 21-inch Michelin low-rolling-resistance tires mounted on five-spoke alloy wheels.
Nissan Ellure concept has an eco drive system featuring a supercharged 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine with Intelligent Dual Clutch Control (one motor/two clutch design with lithium-ion battery). The Nissan Ellure is actually a hybrid and has an additional 25 kW electric motor and comes with the company’s Xtronic CVT transmission and a front-wheel drive system. The Nissan Ellure also features an independent suspension, regenerative braking, and advanced drive-by-wire electric/hydraulic steering.
