Aston Martin V12 Zagato Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race

Aston Martin announced that it would take two new Aston Martin V12 Zagato units for a short race at the Nurburgring 24 hour endurance race assault later this month. The first one will be headed by the Aston’s CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, the other by Chris Porritt.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato endurance race car won the Concorso d’Eleganza Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes at its first public appearance at the Villa D’Este Concours. The show car was then transformed into the number 3 race car, nicknamed ‘Zag’ (red) and will be piloted in the 24 hour race by Aston Martin CEO, Dr. Ulrich Bez, the company’s Nurburgring Test Centre Director.

A green V12 Zagato (nicknamed ‘Zig’) – car number 5 for the race – was prepared by the small team based at Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire. Zig will be driven by Aston Martin One-77 Chief Engineer Chris Porritt, experienced sports car driver Oliver Mathai, automotive journalist Richard Meaden and experienced amateur racer Peter Cate.

Joining the Zagatos will be a V8 Vantage GT4 affectionately nicknamed ‘Smurf’ (now orange but formally blue) which will be driven by Aston Martin Racing works driver, Darren Turner, journalist and experienced 24 hour driver, Shinichi Katsura, Australian racer Rob Thomson and seasoned Nürburgring pilot Jurgen Stumpf.

Aston Martin V12 Zagato endurance race car is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine, it produces 510 horsepower and a maximum torque of 420 lb-ft. This engine is mated to a six-speed automated manual gearbox with auto shift manual/select shift manual. So the 0-100km/h time is under 4.0 seconds.

The rear-wheel-drive model features an all round independent double wishbone with fully adjustable Multimatic DSSV dampers. The Aston Martin V12 Zagato will appear in the form of an endurance race car to compete at the Nurburgring 24 hour race.

Aston Martin Zagato V12 is designed by Aston Martin and Zagato, it is base on the V12 Vantage. Aston Martin V12 Zagato commemorates the 50th anniversary of Aston Martin’s first collaboration with Zagato, the DB4GT Zagato.

Aston Martin Zagato V12 is planned to be sold in limited numbers, both in road-going form and as a race car, this vehicle is set to make its debut at four-hour race where it will feature a more extreme aerodynamic package, including lightly modified bodywork, a stripped-out interior and a towering rear wing.

Aston Martin plans to run two examples of the V12 Zagato, one driven by a team consisting of Aston Martin chief executive officer Ulrich Bez. Zagato is a team of designers working at Milan, Italy. The bullish looking coupe adopts a number of classic Zagato elements, including a large open grille, distinctive vents in the front fenders, a double-bubble roof and a heavily sloping rear end bookmarked by triangular-shaped taillamps.

Aston Martin Zagato V12 is quiped with the old V12 Vantage’s engine, bonded aluminum chassis and 510-bhp 6.0-liter V-12 engine. 2012 Aston Martin Virage

British luxury cars manufacturer unveiled latest sports car – 2012 Aston Martin Virage at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. It is to the DB9 as the Mercedes-Benz CLS is to the Mercedes E-class sedan.

2012 Aston Martin Virage will be further distinguished by a new aluminum metal front grille with five horizontal vanes, inspired by the Aston Martin One-77, a new front bumper, distinctive front wings with six LEDs, single bi-xenon headlamps, and a rear diffuser which houses a body-colored blade accentuating the width of the car. The lightweight bonded aluminum and composite platform debuted way back in 2004.

Aston Martin is offering a combination of seven of the finest Bridge of Weir leather used down either side of the fascia and along the seat and signature swan wing doors.

2012 Aston Martin Virage is equiped with a 6.0 liter V12 engine, produces 490 HP, six-speed Touchtronic II automatic transmission mounted on the transaxle, helping to achieve perfect 50:50 weight balance. It can be operated in pure auto mode or via steering column-mounted paddles. so the Virage will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds and will be capable of hitting a top speed of 186 mph.

2012 Aston Martin Virage feature Adaptive Damping System (ADS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and standard tech carbon brakes Ceramic Matrix (CCM). So it is almost tossable and is well balanced.

Aston Martin is expanding their V8 Vantage lineup with the addition of the S version, which is model featuring ‘enhanced dynamics’.

2011 Aston Martin Vantage GT4

2011 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 has been revealed. GT4 takes design inspiration from Aston Martin’s V12 Vantage road car, but with increased downforce.

2011 Aston Martin Vantage GT4 has been under development for six months and was unveiled in Dubai recently by Aston Martin chairman, David Richards, and tested extensively at the Dubai Autodrome.

The Vantage GT4 is built to FIA GT4 regulations and is eligible to compete in the following series: FIA GT4 European Cup; British GT4 Championship; Britcar Endurance Series; German GT4 Championship; Dutch Supercar Challenge; Dutch GT4 Championship; VLN Endurance Championship at the Nurburgring; Australian Endurance Championship; the American SCCA Championship; and the Aston Martin Owners Club Race Series.

The Vantage GT4 comes with either a manual transmission or sportshift transmission. It is priced from £96,645 and is available to order now with delivery in January 2009. Aston Martin Racing is now the only manufacturer to produce cars in each of the GT classes: GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4. The GT4 is based on the latest 4.7 litre V8 Vantage and is hand built by Aston Martin Racing.

The 4.7 litre eight cylinder engine has an engine management system recalibrated for race use. It also has a free flow exhaust system and air filters, and the standard V8 dry sump lubrication system is retained, helping to prevent oil surge during cornering.

The Vantage GT4 can be supplied with either a six speed manual, or a Sportshift transmission with paddle controls. Both versions have a Valeo twin-plate cerametallic racing clutch and lightweight flywheel to complete the powertrain specification.

At 1,330 kg the Vantage GT4 is 300 kg lighter than the standard car. This has been achieved through a range of weight reduction measures. The interior trim is removed with the exception of the facia moulding, which is re-trimmed in Alcantara, and the console and door casings are replaced by new lightweight mouldings.

The chassis has been fitted with a high-strength steel rollcage and Recaro competition seats. A suede-trimmed steering wheel with a quick release mechanism is also fitted as standard. The Vantage GT4’s safety features are completed with a Sabelt sixpoint safety harness with a push-button release and Lifeline Zero 360 gas extinguisher system.

Aston Martin has released a new version of Rapide four-door model called Luxe. Aston Martin Rapide Luxe features more colour choices as well as interior and exterior detail enhancements. But the company did not release any official info now.

A six piece luggage set, made from the same leather as your car, or another contrasting leather from the Aston Martin range, comes as standard. Usually, one glass and stainless steel Emotional Control Unit (ECU), otherwise known as the key, comes with the car. The Rapide Luxe gains an additional glass ECU, rather than the black plastic second key you normally get.

The Aston Martin Rapide Luxe also comes with the trick Bang & Olufsen sound system and newly. it is dominated by a red leather upholstery. Apart from it, the Aston Martin Rapide Luxe also features LCD screen integrated in the headrests, various chrome styling accents and personalized door sill plates. The Aston Martin Rapide Luxe also seem to include a set of matching red leather luggage pack.

The engine of the Aston Martin Rapide Luxe is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 unit, developing 350 kW (470 bhp / 477 PS) at 6000 rpm and 600 Nm (443 lb ft) of torque at 5000 rpm. the speed from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds, ant the top speed is 303 km/h. The Aston Martin Rapide Luxe price has not been announced yet.

2011 Aston Martin Rapide

The 2011 Aston Martin Rapide is the most significant car launched by the storied British automaker since Dr. Ulrich Bez took over the reins in July 2000.

The Rapide looks like Aston Martin’s DB9 because that’s largely what it’s based on. The cars share numerous components including a 6.0-liter V-12 engine, good for 470 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque; a rear-mounted “Touchtronic 2″ six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters; and various body panels and suspension components.

In the interior of the Astor Rapide is the leather-skinned interior which one would normally expect from Aston, with appropriate wood and brushed metal trim.Because of the plenty of room available in the front side, there shall be quite easy entry and exit to the front seats.

With a base price of $199,950 and only roughly 500 cars expected annually for US delivery, the 2011 Aston Martin Rapide is obviously not for everyone.But it is significant for Aston Martin because it is the best-looking and all-around best-driving car it offers.

The Aston Martin DB9 is arguably one of the prettiest cars on the road with its distinctive curves, elegant lines and muscular shape. Recently, it has received an aesthetic refresh.

However, there’s always a sense of nervousness when manufacturers update an already magnificent car. There’s that saying: “don’t fix it if it ain’t broke” and the DB9 “ain’t broke”.

Aston Martin has released a 2011 minor facelift of the DB9 with package of improvements. It would probably take more than a few glances to notice the new styling changes which include a new front bumper, bright finish radiator grille, reshaped lower intake featuring bright hexagonal mesh, new headlight coverings, restyled sills, silver brake calipers, 20-spoke “diamond turned” alloy wheels and clear rear light lenses.

The Aston Martin DB9 is available as either Coupe or Volante (convertible) with rear mid-mounted six-speed manual gearbox as standard or optional ‘Touchtronic 2′ six-speed automatic transmission. Production of the revised Aston Martin DB9 is already underway, with deliveries commencing in July. Prices start from ￡122,445 for the Aston Martin DB9 Coupe and ￡131,445 for the Aston Martin DB9 Volante.

Aston Martin has unveiled a new motorsport-inspired special edition; the Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 which brings a new dimension of sporting prowess and dynamic ability to the V8 Vantage range. Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 prices start from £96,995.

Successor to the special edition Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 of 2007, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 is based upon the standard 4.7-litre, 420bhp, 180mph V8 Vantage and is available as a Coupe or Roadster, and with a six-speed manual or optional Sportshift automated manual transmission.

The Aston Martin v8 Vantage N420 draws inspiration from the company’s experiences at the Nürburgring 24-hour race. In the 2006 running of the annual Nürburgring endurance classic amongst a field of mostly motorsport homologated cars, Aston Martin entered a near-standard, road-registered V8 Vantage. Driven by a team of employees, including Aston Martin’s CEO, Dr Ulrich Bez, the Aston Martin V8 Vantage – named ‘Rose’ by the team – finished 4th in class and 24th overall from a field of more than 200 specialised racing cars.

Since then Aston Martin has returned every year to compete in this gruelling endurance race, scoring a string of class victories and podiums with road-registered V8 and V12 Vantages and most recently the new four-door Rapide. Not only has this racing success spawned a burgeoning V8 Vantage GT4 customer programme run by Aston Martin Racing, but lessons learned in racing at the Nürburgring has led to aerodynamic and other performance developments being fed back into Aston Martin’s road cars.

A generous standard specification and some unique options ensure the special edition Vantage N420 is both exclusive and distinctive, while also offering a 27kg weight saving – achieved through the application of carbon fibre – over the standard Aston Martin V8 Vantage.

Aston Martin Viceroy concept is designed by Swansea Metropolitan Design student from the UK, It is clearly a bit of an Aston fan, having penned the futuristic Viceroy concept. and it is a part of his graduation in Automotive Design.

Aston Martin One-77 is no longer a concept, but it pushed the boundaries of supercar design to the edge of the envelope while still maintaining that instantly recognisable Aston Martin trademark identity.

Aston Martin Viceroy concept was shown in July, 2010 show car design studies at the University of National Waterfront Museum in Swansea Marina, United Kingdom instead. With a sleek design and aggressive language, was inspired by Aston Martin with the Viceroy and the reputation of Savile Row tailor in London and uses Ason Martin trademark elements for expressive design language.

Aston Martin Viceroy is a hydrogen-drive sports car designed specifically for the UK. But this I can bet that the design elements and general appearance will attract Aston Martin. This Aston Martin supercar was inspired by the ultra bespoke prestige of London’s Savile Row.

This new Aston Martin Super Sport limited edition with mid mounted engine car has a genuine looks of a supercar.The special super car has been built in collaboration with Star Electric Cars France.

The limited edition is only available in left-hand drive and features upward hinging doors. Furthermore, the exhaust system is powder coated. This special edition will be offered with carbon fiber bodywork and Brembo or AP carbon ceramic brakes. The interior of the car includes leather, Alcantara, and carbon fiber with Recaro seats, while the sat nav system has an iPod connection included.

Each of the units will be painted with colors chosen by customers and each color will be used only once. Customers can also visit the company to see the car and test drive it.

The surper car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.4 liter V8 engine that produces up to 950bhp. And the power is transferred to wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle, fully synchronized with an integral, torque-sensing, helical limited-slip differential. However, a F1 paddle shift gearbox is also available at request.

A few years ago, Aston Martin was busy creating an extremely special edition vehicle called the Aston Martin One-77 supercar. The new model will be limited to only 8 units, each priced to € 7,500,000 (around $9,600,000 at the current exchange rates).

Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black Edition V12 Vantage

Aston Martin will show Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black Edition on a seven-city, it is a special versions of its DBS and V12 Vantage supercars, so you can get your hands on the new Carbon Black edition of the Aston Martin DBS.

The Aston Martin DBS Carbon Black is largely a cosmetic revision of Aston’s already potent DBS. While specific numbers have yet to be revealed. The car’s name stems from the custom “Carbon Black” paint metallic paint. Aston Martin says the color was specially formulated to include a subtle metallic twist, and takes nearly 50 hours of labor to properly apply. The color scheme continues inside, where the interior is trimmed in obsidian leather, highlighted with silver contrast stitching. Aston also replaced the traditional engine-turned aluminum interior trim with pieces sporting a matching piano black finish.

Inside, the Carbon Black gets black leather trim. To break up the darkness there’s silver stitching and silver trim plates. There’s also a standard Bang & Olufsen sound system with over 1000 watts of power. That should do it. Deliveries start this summer. The standard seats of both cars are replaced with light-weight carbon fibre and Kevlar versions, saving 17kg over the regular items. Local delivery dates and pricing have not been revealed, but more information is expected to be revealed early in the new year. UK and European deliveries commence from March 2010.

DBS Carbon Black Special Edition

The DBS was launched in 2007 and is Aston Martin’s ultimate GT sports car. Benefitting from weight saving materials including aluminium and carbon fibre; the DBS offers dynamic and aesthetic purity, an exquisite interior and a driving experience unsurpassed by any other car in its coupe and Volante forms.

Its hand built V12 engine produces 380 kW (510 bhp / 517 PS) making it one of the most powerful production cars Aston Martin has ever made. In 2009, the DBS ‘Volante’ (Aston Martin’s nomenclature for convertible) joined the DBS line-up.

Aston Martin Cygnet Concept

Aston Martin Cygnet is a new luxury commuter concept car. It represents a creative, environmentally conscious solution, being small, yet with presence – and highly fuel efficient, now combined with the prestige of Aston Martin’s luxury brand ownership.

Aston Martin Cygnet concept is based on the Toyota iQ, including the standard engine range. That means Aston automatically gets a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating and a drastic cut in its average CO2 emissions across the range. At the front, a full-size Aston Martin grille has been grafted on, and the front bumper re-profiled to suit. Aston projector lamps have replaced the iQ’s normal headlights, and there’s silly bonnet vents and the trademark Aston wing vents too. We can’t see the back yet, as this is the only pic, but C-shaped rear lights a la Aston One-77 will feature. The wheels are new too.

According to an Aston Martin official, the Cygnet will likely become available with the iQ’s full set of powerplants. This includes a 67-hp, 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine; an 89-hp, 1.4-liter turbo-diesel; and a 97-hp, 1.3-liter gasoline four-banger. Toyota offers five- and six-speed manuals as well as a continuously variable transmission. With the most powerful unit, the Cygnet will be able to run from 0 to 60 mph in a leisurely 12 seconds or so. Top speed is quoted at 106 mph for the Toyota, and traveling that speed in the Cygnet should prove as thrilling as doing 200 mph in its supercar, er, siblings.

Inside, the interior will be proper poshed up, with bespoke audio, nice leather and Alcantara, and even an ECU to replace the key. Naturally, you can get your Cygnet to match your Aston DBS.

The Cygnet is still a work in progress, but it’s likely to make production in 2010 with Toyota shipping iQs to Gaydon where they’ll be rebuilt as Cygnets. Aston Martin unveiled its the One-77 in 2009, which is a $1.8 million supercar. Aston Martin will limit only 77 unit in 2010, and design to create possibly the world’s most desirable automotive art form.

As we know, Aston Martin One-77 is equiped with a gargantuan hand-built 7.0-liter V12 generating, capable of churning up more than 700 horsepower. Aston Martin and Cosworth engineers achieved a mass reduction of some 25 per cent, and although we’ve yet to complete the final engine calibration work. the 0-60 mph time is only 3.9 seconds, the top speed is well over 200 mph.

Aston Martin One-77 will be the first all-new vehicle from Aston Martin produced after the brand was sold by Ford to a group of investors spearheaded by Prodrive’s David Richards. We’re also curious to know if the One-77 will play a part in Project Alligator, the rumored collaboration between Aston and Mercedes-Benz. All details will be revealed in due time. Aston Martin V8 Vantage is the first model to use Aston Martin’s unique VH Platform Strategy .From the exterior, The design of Aston Martin V8 Vantage is very modern, it look like so muscular. Aston Martin has cut the V8 Vantage engine’s carbon emissions, The long bonnet and two-seater cabin create an instantly recognisable stance, while minimal front and rear overhangs, combined with a wide track, appear to push the rear wheels out and enhance the extremities of the bodywork.

Aston Martin has cut the V8 engine’s carbon emissions, the manual-equipped model dropping from 328 g/km to 315 g/km, and the Sportshift model dropping to 300 g/km. Which means a dry-sump 420-horsepower 4.7-liter V8 driving the rear wheels via a choice of six-speed transaxles. There is a traditional, three-pedal manual or an optional Prodrive-developed automated manual (Sportshift) with paddles swapping cogs or a fully automatic mode, the car will reach 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. So it is just powerful.

Aston Martin unveiled the Lagonda Concept car at the Geneva motor show. So we are sure Aston Martin announced plans to revive the Lagonda nameplate. We hope it has a good future.

Aston Martin Lagonda is a V12-engined 4×4 SUV, the four wheels is 22-inch. The seats is onle four. It is the first fruits of a new collaboration between Aston and Mercedes-Benz, the hardware and engine tech are base the Merc GL SUV. Mercedes or another supplier will provide alternative powertrains such as flexi-fuels, hybrids and diesels.

Aston Martin Lagonda will be sold in more 100 countries, with a focus on emerging markets in the Middle East, South America, China, India and Russia.
