BMW has debuted BMW X coupe at the 2001 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, it is base on X5 sport-utility-sized coupe, also is an all-wheel drive.

BMW X coupe is designed as a pure styling standpoint, features an aluminium body and stands 58.3 inches high. It is designed as the ultimate expression of the sporty vehicle, X coupe has traditionally been built for athletic driving on the road.

The X Coupe concept inherits the four wheel drive system “All Season Traction (AST)”. BMW have taken a bold step with the lighting system on the X Coupe concept. The headlamps move with the front wheels (much like on old Citroens) illuminating bends in the road.

BMW X coupe concept is powered by an advanced BMW 3.0-liter, six-cylinder turbodiesel engine, developing 184 horsepower and 332 ft-lbs. It is equiped with a five-speed Steptronic automanual transmission that includes shift paddles on the steering wheel, the top speed can hit 125 mph.

BMW X4 confirmed

BMW has announced a compact SUV BMW X4, it may be a smaller version of the X6, the production will be built due in 2014.

As the smaller BMW x6, It will feature a similar four-door layout and a sloping roofline towards the rear. And X4 is based on the same platform as the BMW X3.

The X4 is expected to come with a choice of four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines mated to a six-speed manual, seven-speed double-clutch or optional eight-speed automatic gearbox. As with the X3, BMW does not plan a two-wheel-drive version.

The BMW X4 line-up could conceivably include an M-badged version, perhaps powered by the twin-turbo 3.0 litre six that drives the limited-edition 1 Series M. and the price will slot in above the X3 in terms of price and specification.

BMW Mini Vans is coming

BMW Brank plans to unveil a new MINI Van. The first van within BMW Group is apparently based on the Clubman model and is shaping up to be a work-ready hauler with the rear bench seat removed.

BMW van has also been rumored in the past. To stay true to its van designation, the rear side windows will be ditched for sheetmetal. BMW mini-van as a model mixing the space and flexibility of an MPV, the solidity of an SAV with the shape of a larger Touring model, but have maintain the car-like appearance.

Mini Countryman ALL4 is the largest of the four Mini family members, it is based on a new platform, all-wheel drive version with a turbocharged engine.

An optimist could call it a compact SUV, but we’re more comfortable calling it a five-door hatchback. Mini Cooper S Countryman ALL4 is a seriously huge Mini, nearly 161.3 inches in length, 70.4 inches in width and 61.5 inches in height. The vehicle weight of 3,042 pounds, the Cooper S Countryman never feels as lively as the 2,491-pound Cooper S hardtop. It is more than five inches longer and wider and 500 pounds heavier than the Cubman.

Mini Countryman All4 is the first Mini Cooper to be named a Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Standard equipment includes seven air bags, stability control, brake force distribution, and cornering brake control. Traction control is standard on the S, optional on the base model.

The base model Countryman is a real dog. Countryman ALL4 is powered by a 1.6-liter engine. It delivers 121 horsepower and 118 pound-feet of torque. It works six-speed manual gearbox. The company rates it to accelerate from zero to 60 in 9.8 seconds with a stick shift, 10.9 seconds with an automatic.

BMW Spicup Concept was first unveiled over 40 years ago at the 1969 Geneva Motor Show. They only limited one unit in the world, now BMW Spicup Convertible Coupe auctioned for 460k euros.

According to the photos, The BMW Spicup Convertible Coupe has been kept in perfect condition and over the year has seen the interior of the BMW Museum. Now the concept has been restored to concurs condition and has been auction at the Bonhams auction for an impressive €460,000 or about $600,000 at the current exchange rates.

The unconventional design features a special novel roof mechanism, one of the most impressive feature of the concept was its novel roof, which consisted of stainless steel panels that retracted into the hefty roll bar. The concept’s design has been started by Giorgetto Giugiaro and finished by Marcello Gandini.

BMW Spicup Concept is powered by a BMW 2000 CS chassis and a 2.8-litre chronicle SOHC straight-six engine. The engine cover has been once again fixed to the air filter – its original position, and the final work has been done to the special roof mechanism. 2012 BMW M5

BMW has announced that the all-new BMW M5, 2012 BMW M5 is a luxurious business sedan, it is smoothest, powerful, elegant.

BMW tried to repair all the damages made by the 5-Series. Where the standard sedan failed to impress, the M version does exactly the opposite. The front of the BMW is a clear indication to the power lying under the hood. The bonnet is defined by the brand’s usual V contour lines and ends with a double-kidney grille, while the three air intakes in the lower section of the front apron emphasize the cooling air requirement of the engine behind the grille.

The rear features a bespoke rear apron, a diffuser integrated into the lower edge of the rear apron, and, of course, the twin-pipe exhaust system. The tailpipes are positioned wide to either side of the diffuser and have likewise aerodynamically formed surrounds.

The car will sit on a new set of 19-inch M light-alloy wheels in double-spoke design. There is also a wide chrome frame and the free-floating look of the indicator bar, which bears the M logo and gives the intakes an extremely deep-set look. The mirror casings are painted in the vehicle’s body color, while the mirror base and lower edge are painted in High-gloss Black.

The interior continues the same sporty design language started by the exterior: it will get M sports seats, fine-grain Merino leather upholstery with

extended features, door sills with “M5” lettering, an M driver’s footrest, exclusive Aluminum Trace interior trim strips, and the BMW Individual roof liner in Anthracite. Standard equipment will include an iDrive control system with an up to 10.2-inch Control Display.

The buttons on the steering wheel will allow the drive to operate the cruise control system and the audio and telephone functions. On the left-hand steering wheel spoke, the driver will now find two M Drive buttons, which can be used to configure the car. For example, the driver can save a sporty configuration using the “M1″ button and a comfort-biased set-up via the “M2″ button.

2012 BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-liter V8 engine with an M TwinPower Turbo package, delivers an impressive 560 hp at 6,000 – 7,000 rpm and a peak torque of 502 lb-ft from 1,500 rpm. The model will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, it can hit an impressive top speed of 190 mph.

BMW i3 concept will be the first vehicle produced under the i brand when it arrives 2012, it is an uncompromisingly sustainable vehicle designed for urban areas. with every detail conceived and optimised to fulfil its eventual purpose. Its innovative LifeDrive architecture renders the BMW i3 Concept light, safe, spacious and dynamic.

The BMW i3 concept is primarily composed of a carbon fiber/plastic composite. The material’s weight should completely offset the usual weight that accompanies an electric vehicle’s battery pack, which can be between 550 and 770 pounds of additional weight compared to a gasoline car, BMW says.

The weight decrease means the i3 should get better efficiencies out of its lithium-ion battery pack and electric motor. The mostly carbon fiber body will also “provide superb safety in the event of a collision, ” BMW says.

The electric motor over the rear axle, which generates output of 125 kW/170 hp and impressive torque of 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) from a standstill – and a small turning circle combine to deliver agile driving characteristics. The BMW i3 Concept accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h (37 mph) in under four seconds and from rest to 62 mph in less than 8 seconds.

BMW 7-Series is a luxurious executive sedan or limo. But these aren’t normal circumstances, and this isn’t your normal 7-Series. It is however one of the entry points to the German marque’s flagship 7 Series range.

Both the two models of BMW 7 servers will be available with the full complement of well-known 7 Series options and packages, including the M Sport Package, Driver Assistance Package, Luxury Seating Packages, Rear Entertainment Package, and even the BMW Individual Composition Package. The cabin is serenely and supremely quiet; wind noise is well isolated, and nothing in the 740i’s cabin rattled or squeaked.

As we know, both the BMW 740i and 740Li are powered by a twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine that deliver a total of 315 hp at 5800 rpm and 330 lb-ft of torque from 1600-4500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and delivers power to the rear wheels.

As an exciting example of its EfficientDynamics engineering philosophy, BMW announced the North American debut of the 7 Series with a twin-turbocharged inline-6 engine. Featuring BMW’s award-winning inline-6 engine that produces V-8 power on six-cylinder fuel consumption, the new BMW 740i and BMW 740Li achieve a remarkable balance of power, efficiency, and sporty driving dynamics. Both models will go on sale in the United States as 2011 models in Spring 2010. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.

Mini Cooper Countryman is the first four door of Mini family, MINI has just finished on-road testing of the 2012 MINI Countryman and it will be debut at the 2011 Geneva motor show. We guess it will go on sale in America first.

2011 Mini Countryman is immediately recognizable as a Mini, It’s much bigger, of course, with four doors and lots more room for passengers and their gear, more aggressive front bumper, matching side skirts and a new rear bumper incorporating a diffuser setup.

The obvious differences is the 2012 Countryman getting a rear bench option five-passenger capacity, and give the Countryman the same passenger capacity as other key compact crossover rivals, such as the Nissan Juke, Volkswagen Tiguan and Hyundai Tucson.

Mini Countryman will be powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is the same as the other JCW models. The engine produces 155kW of power and 280Nm of torque. this Countryman JCW will see slight hikes in overall power to counter the Countryman’s heavier weight. Reports say it could offer as much as 170kW from a similar engine layout.

The first Mini crossover utility entry starts at $22,350, Mini is well-known for offering a multitude of options on its models, many priced in the four-figure range, making it relatively easy to swell the sticker by more than $10,000 in some cases.

We have a recent post about the 2012 MINI Coupe spy, but not the real picture, now BMW has release the announced the official details and pictures on the new full production. The base price will start at $22,000.

The coupe is the first two-seat and three-box Mini since the brand relaunched in the United States. The design effectively is carried through and lends the Coupe a handsome look. The Mini Coupe features what Mini calls a Helmet Roof, which is pretty much exactly. The MINI Coupe measuring in at 3,728 mm in length, 2,467 mm for the wheelbase, 1,459 mm for the front track, and 1,467 mm for the rear-axle track.

2011 BMW 750Li

The 2011 BMW 7 Series went on sale in 2010, it is the pinnacle of big BMW luxury sedan. BMW has announced the North America launch of Series 7 with a line 6 -cylinder 3.0-liter twin-turbo.

The All-new BMW 7 Series comes in a variety of flavors, ranging from the base 740i turbocharged V6 model rated at 315 horsepower, to the V8 750i, powered by BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbo, which first appeared under the hood of the new X6. Rated at 400 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. The twin-turbocharged V8 will be powering the 750i and 750Li models, in both traditional two wheel drive and BMW’s new xDrive (AWD) versions.

BMW is raising the stakes with a 535 hp, 6.0-liter, turbocharged V12 powering the 760Li. For the 760Li the sticker price will begin at $136,600. This makes the 760Li the only large luxury sedan in at this price point available with a V12 in the US market. The new 7-Series sedan grows by 5.5 inches at the wheelbase. The European market also has a choice of a 3.0-liter twin turbo diesel delivering 242 hp and 399 lb-ft and the familiar twin-turbo gasoline 3.0-liter inline-six upgraded to 315 horsepower and 330 lb-ft. A six-speed automatic transmission will be mated to the V8 engine, with the shifter moved from the steering column back to the center console.

The new 7-Series will roll on 18-inch alloy wheels shod in all-season run-flat tires in a 245/50R18 size. Two styles of 19-inch wheels with performance-oriented rubber will be optional.

The interior of the 2011 BMW 750i is the epitome of luxury, with leather upholstery and 20-way powered and heated front seats. Standard features like a power sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, Bluetooth® connectivity, and four-zone automatic climate control add to the 750i’s luxury chops. The 750i also features the latest in car technology, like a navigation system with voice activation, HD radio, and BMW’s iDrive system, which helps control audio, climate, and communication functions with ease. Optional features include comfort seats with massage and ventilation features, a rear entertainment system with dual screens embedded in the head restraints, head-up display, and night vision with pedestrian detection.

Safety is a priority for the 2011 750i, with standard safety features including a driver and passenger front airbag restraint system with dual-stage deployment, first-and second-row side curtain airbags, front-seat side-impact airbags, knee airbags, and an electronic stability system. Optional safety tech like a lane departure warning system and a blind-spot detection system that warns you when another vehicle is in your blind spot is available as well.

BMW has revealed the refreshed 2012 BMW 1 Series Coupe and Convertible. We has introduced 2012 BMW 1 Series Convertible version, the 2012 BMW 1 Series will go on sale in March 2011.

Follow the images show, we find the 2011 BMW 1 Series coupe has many more changes, the front has the greatest change with smoother lines and a more cohesive look, while the back is similarly styled to the outgoing model but receives wrap-around tail lights. It has grown by 85mm in length and receives a 30mm longer wheelbase.

The 2012 BMW 1 Series Coupe adds sport seats at the interior, an increased top speed dial and various other M badged elements. 2012 BMW 1 Series Coupe are now available new materials, innovative color combinations and two steering wheels with shift levers. The button DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) of the instrumentation has been replaced with a new and more easily understood control. The interior has been enhanced with contrast edges.

2012 BMW 1 Series Coupe will be powered by two engine, which is a two 4-cylinder diesel engines with 122 or a 143 HP or a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with 230 HP. The only difference is that the 135i will drop its current 3.0-liter twin-turbo in favor of a twin-scroll turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine .

This change will allow for a better throttle response and even more fuel efficiency. The 2012 model will be offered with a standard six-speed manual transmission, but customers will also have the option of a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT).

The new BMW 1-Series joins competition with the Audi TT on the market, and the Infiniti G37 offered in two distinctive versions. The price will be announced at a later date.

BMW has released the BMW M3 Carbon Edition coupe in China. It is a big part of BMW for Chinese market, This new edition is limited to only 111 units, the starting price is about 1.23 million yuan, or about $189,000.

BMW 328 Hommage new sport concept

BMW has unveiled an all-new concept car called the 328 Hommage, it is a two-seater sports car is designed to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the BMW 328 racecar.

The new BMW sport car makes extensive use of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic, a material already used by BMW in the M6 and M3. The BMW 328 Hommage gets an extremely wide and flat front end with generous surfaces and a powerful appearance. The rear has a particularly angular tail, with lights that echo the look of the Vision ED eco-supercar that’s earmarked for production. A carbon fiber bonnet and low-reaching sidewalls will ensure an excellent stability for the 328 on the road.

The lightweight 328 original weighed just 780kgs and BMW has concentrated on keeping weight down in the Hommage. The body is made from carbon-reinforced plastic, the same material used in the i3 electric car and the stripped out cabin is simple and driver-focused.

The BMW 328 Hommage will be powered by a 3.0-litre straight-six engine, but BMW hasn’t revealed any official statistics or performance figures.

The interior gets fine leather, matte and high-gloss black polished aluminum and numerous details derived from motor racing, offering a hint of the BMW 328’s most successful motor sports career.

The BMW 328 Hommage is unlikely to make production, but expect to see BMW’s future models, including the i8 hybrid supercar getting a look inspired by the newcomer.

The Mini Coupe production model will be released on the market later in the year, it is almost the same as 2011 Mini Paceman Concept. The interior of the vehicle ditches the hatchback’s model’s rear seat bench for a larger boot area that’s said to be around 250 liters.

The Mini Coupe JCW will be powered by the latest 1.6L twin scroll turbocharged engine, which produces 211 HP and, besides this model, there will also be a Coupe S with 184 HP version of the 1.6L unit and a basic model with a naturally aspired 1.6L engine that’s able to produce 122 HP and maybe even a diesel version.

The world premiere of the production version of the MINI Coupe will will most likely be unveiled this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall.

The BMW i8 concept is a hybrid sport, it will utilize Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic. The interiors put emphasis of giving consideration to the environment by using sustainable and natural materials, and it will come to market in 2013.

BMW i8 concept Vision was spotted during winter testing in Sweden. It is based on BMW Vision EfficientDynamics Concept which was first unveiled to the world at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, The vehicle is said to pack 2+2 seating.

BMW I8 concept will be powered by a a 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbodiesel Plug-in Hybrid Electric engine, the two electric motors that produced 262 kW and 800 Nm of torque. So the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.8 seconds, and the top speed hits 250 km/h (155 mph), and averge 3.76 L/100 km (63 mpg US). Because of the plug-in hybrid technology, the Vision EfficientDynamics could travel up to 50 km (31 miles) on electricity alone.

BMW will forgo the thrifty diesel engine of the concept in favor of a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline mill to work in coordination with a hybrid system. While that’s bad news bears for diesel fans, the fact that BMW is gearing the platform toward gasoline means that this vehicle will more than likely show up on American shores.

The BMW i8 is scheduled to be launched in 2013 and is rumored to cost approximately US$242,680.

BMW Univeiled Mini Rocketman concept

BMW univeiled a mini version of its Mini Rocketman concept, which is likely to appeal to fans of the original 1950s runabout famous for its cornering.

Mini Rocketman concept is almost foot shorter than a standard Cooper, it is built on a carbon-fiber spaceframe to save weight over the traditional steel unibodies employed on Mini production vehicles. Much of the spaceframe is visible inside and outside the car, to show off the carbon construction and save weight on trim pieces.

The exterior keeps the family cues and proportions, but displays a new interpretation of the details. Oversize round LED headlamps feature a light-ring surround while the stirrup-style rear lamps are fitted with high-output LEDs for the tail/brake/directionals.

Mini says the vehicle will ‘allow the integration of a drive system, which combines further enhanced sprinting ability with average fuel consumption of just three liters per 100 kilometers, which translates to roughly 78 mpg in U.S. measurements. We’ll be interested to find out what hyper-efficient drivetrain it is referring to in the press release, but we’re betting it’s some sort of diesel/hybrid.

Mini Rocketman Concept will make production is likely to remain topic of speculation for some time to come.

Alpina has released details of B5 Bi-Turbo, and BMW will unveil BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Touring car at the 2011 Geneva motor show.

The BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo Touring is the wagon variant of the B5 Bi-Turbo sedan model based on the BMW 5-Series.

Limit information has been released, but we know BMW Alpina B5 Bi-Turbo will be a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 507 horsepower and 516 lb/ft of torque and mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. The 0-60 mph time is only 4.7s, Top speed on the B5 Bi-Turbo is 307 km/h (191 mph) but Auto Bild reports this Touring will have a 300 km/h (186 mph) limit. Fuel-economy will be 10.9 liters/100 km compared to 10.8 for the sedan.

BMW has revealed BMW Vision Connected Drive Concept official debut at the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. BMW is only offering up a few details on this concept beside the name.

The character of this concept study, presented as a two-seater roadster, is one of a mobile component in a networked world, both in design as well as by virtue of extensive technological innovations. Continuing a design theme from the Vision Efficient Dynamics concept, look for both of these forward-thinking vehicles to inspire BMW’s next generation of cars.

EfficientDynamics concept previewed next-gen drivetrain technology, the BMW Version Connected Drive looks at how the driver and passenger interact with both the car and the increasingly ‘connected’ world. The vehicle integrates comfort, safety and infotainment features in a package that puts these needs first. In addition, BMW promises enhanced driving pleasure – this is a BMW after all.

The interior is divided into three layers – comfort, infotainment and safety – each with a corresponding light installation. Each layer is defined by a color, rhythm, motion and texture and, through the transparent surfaces the path taken by the information can be seen via fiber optic lighting.

The BMW Vision ConnectedDrive demonstrates the interaction between the driver and the passenger and shows how networking with the environment can reach new levels.

2012 BMW 6 Series Coupe spy shots

We have writen a article about 2012 BMW 6-Series Convertible, now it’s exactly what BMW has done with its next-generation 6 Series, and the spies has been snaped. The droptop made its debut at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this month.

We’re surprised by the design of the new BMW 6 Series Coupe, it is designed as a fixed-roof version of the attractive new cabriolet which was debuted at the 2010 Paris Motor Show. BMW is still masking the new design which has a more sloped rear end than the previous model that gives the large coupe more of a sports car look.

We Expected under the hood will be BMW’s turbocharged 3.0 liter inline-six dialed to the 320 bhp (239 kW / 324 PS) mark and a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with 407 bhp (304 kW / 413 PS). a twin-turbocharged V8 packing 400 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque will be in store for the 650i coupe, mated to a choice of six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmissions. Gearbox will be a choice of either a 6-speed manual or the 8-speed automatic.

BMW will launch the 2012 BMW 6 Series during the second half of this year in Australia as a Coupe initially, and then later this year introduce the convertible variant.

BMW Z5 concept

This BMW Z5 concept is designed by Turkish designers, a young team İsmet Çevik and Fatih Tezel decided to create a futuristic conceptual study for a mid-engined BMW supercar by 3D modelling, which is called BMW Z5 from BMW comes in 2013.

The styling somewhat resembles Audi’s superstar R8. In the past decade BMW has been criticized for the lack of a supercar and when the R8 was introduced, the voices became even louder. From the back we can see the designers have opted to go for a mid-mounted V8 engine layout, with a large encapsulating body design that wraps up the entire insides from the outside in.

Everything, from the doors, to the front lights, to the facelifted windscreen, all blend in as one flowing design. Even the traditional BMW grilles at the front seem to match the exotic bodywork.

Next supercar, but the Munich-based automaker refers to the Vision Concept as a new breed of sportscars, hybrid powered with the performance of an M3. The times of V10 engines are way gone and the future is synonym with efficiency and lightweight.

BMW releases close to 200 new images of the new 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible.The photoshoot took place in Cape Town, South Africa where BMW is hosting a small driving event of the flagship cabriolet.

The new 6er convertible makes its US debut this Spring.By the end of this year, the US market will get both the 640i and 650i models.

2011 BMW M5

Although this is not the first time we’ve seen BMW’s next-generation M5 testing on public roads, our spies did manage to get particularly clean and clear shots that were right up close on the upcoming M5.

BMW’s latest M5 is due for some serious change, including a huge transformation was a massive V10 to a much smaller twin-turbocharged V8.While the outgoing M5 is powered by a 5.0-liter 500 horsepower V10, this latest M5 is confirmed to be packing the twin-turbo, direct-injected 4.4-liter V8 from the X5 and X6 M models.BMW, like all automakers, is feeling the pinch from new emissions and fuel efficiency standards and is turning to forced induction and smaller engines for improved efficiency to go along with its high-performance products.

The M5 will remain a rear-wheel drive sedan, looking to agility, power and advanced traction control to provide performance – not all-wheel drive.

We have no information on the interior of the 2011 M5 at this time.We can only speculate that the cabin may be roomier than in previous models because of the M5′s larger size.

On the M5′s exterior, “M” badged fender vents are still present, which now sit above a new set of argent-colored high-performance wheels.Behind the wheels are the massive drilled and slotted rotors – a clear indicator that this indeed the range-topping M5 performance sedan.

The next M5 should surface at a major auto show sometime during early to mid-2011.The 2011 M5 should start at about $87,000 – $90,000 MSRP.

2012 BMW 1-Series Convertible

BMW announced several modifications to the 2012 BMW 1-Series Convertible that accentuate efficiency and premium quality.For the 2012 model year, two versions are available with inline-6 power: the 128i and the 135i.

The 2012 BMW 1 Series Convertible will come fitted with either a 3.0-litre naturally aspirated inline 6 engine producing 230 HP and 200 lb-ft of torque or a 3.0-litre inline-6 with a single twin-scroll turbocharger developing 300 HP and 300 lb-ft of torque.

The new Air Curtain is BMW’s latest aerodynamic innovation.Introduced first on the BMW 1-Series M Coupe, the Air Curtain will now be a standard feature on the 128i Convertible.The Air Curtain improves air flow around the front wheel arches with the benefit of significantly reduced turbulence.The 128i Convertible can also be equipped with special Aero Wheels to further enhance the performance of the Air Curtain system.This innovative feature consists of openings in the outer section of the lower front fascia that route high-pressure air through ducts at each front corner.

The ducts are approximately 10 x 3 centimeters wide and are designed to channel air to openings at the front of each wheel arch, where it is discharged through a very narrow opening at high speed.The escaping air stream covers the side of the front wheels like a curtain, thereby reducing aerodynamically unfavorable turbulence around the rotating wheels.Air Curtain has a key role to play in the development of future aerodynamic innovations.

The standard softtop is available in either black or taupe cloth, but it is the optional Moonlight Black version which is unique to the BMW 1-Series Convertible.Interwoven with fine shiny metallic fibers, this distinctive top produces a shimmery metallic silver appearance in sunlight.The visual effect enhances the convertible’s exciting range of nine colors which includes an exclusive hue: Cashmere Silver Metallic.

The individual sections within the L-shaped rear taillights give the vehicle a lower, sportier look.Horizontal lights integrated in the rear light clusters offer a homogeneous lighting effect with the help of light-emitting diodes (LEDs).This light design, as found on other BMW models, makes the BMW 1-Series Convertible stand out at night.Also, the Adaptive Brake Lights operating in two stages in relation to brake application force are yet another feature typical of BMW, with the additional benefit of extra safety on the road.
