General Motors has debut the 2013 Cadillac ATS at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, it is a American definition of compact luxury midsize sedan.

2013 Cadillac ATS is a light, luxurious, powerful and fuel-efficient sports car, it is Smaller than Cadillac CTS sedan. From the photos the new ATS features Cadillac’s latest Arts & Science styling with sharp creases and flowing lines. The headlights are jewel-like, while the taillight feature light pipes that complement the integrated LED rear spoiler. Dual chrome exhaust tips peek out from below the bumper, with the center-mounted backup light mounted between them.

Customer can choose three engine choices: a 200-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder, 270-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine or 318-hp 3.5-liter V6. The engine is equiped with a six-speed manual and automatic transmissions and all-wheel-drive are available.

According to the official, the first production will rolled down the line at the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Michigan just before Christmas. The 2013 ATS will launch as a sedan only, but coupe, convertible and wagon versions will be not rolled out recently. There will also be V-series versions.

The 2013 Cadillac ATS faces a challenge in becoming a player in the luxury compact segment: For example, BMW sold 93,000 of its outgoing 3 series last year in the U.S. The price will start at $35,795, including destination charges.

The Cadillac Ciel Concept has been unveiled in Monterey, California. It is named Ciel after the French word for the sky. This concept taken the automotive world by surprise.

As the brand, This Cadillac Ciel Concept is a four-seat luxury convertible, developed at GM Design’s North Hollywood Design Centre with Niki Smart at the head of the exterior team and Gael Buzyn in charge of the interior, the Ciel was apparently designed for coastal drives and sunsets. This concept is designed to show the world the potential of the brand’s evolving ‘Art & Science’ philosophy.

The Cadillac Ciel concept exterior features a special nickel-coating, and its lines appear to flow seamlessly into the cabin, with the body color rolling over on top of the interior door panels. Ciel concept has an impressive wheelbase of 125-inches, it is 300mm longer than the Cadillac CTS sedan. This concept is amazing, reminding of simpler times, being focused primarily on styling.

Cadillac Ciel Concept is powered by a 3.6-litre direct-injection V6 engine, output 317kW/583Nm twin-turbocharged version of General Motors, this engine is paired with a hybrid system using lithium-ion battery technology. It teamed with a lithium-ion battery hybrid system. No further powertrain details have been revealed so far.

The ATS will be equiped with a a mid-engine, it is a turbocharged four-cylinder and a V6 engine which could be receive twin-turbos in the ATS-V.

The new Cadillac ATS is scheduled to followed by an estate, coupe, and convertible.

Cadillac CTS is my Favorite car, because it is one of the world’s most potent sport sedans. Now the super tuner Hennessy cranking up the Horsepower form Cadillac CTS-V V700 horsepower package.

As we konw, The stock Cadillac CTS-V has a mildly de-tuned version of the Corvette ZR-1 LSA engine. This V-8 is supercharged and puts out an amazing 550 HP. But now Hennessey has played with the car’s engine to make these numbers even more impressive.
Cadillac unveiled Urban Luxury Concept at the 2010 LA Auto Show. The Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept is designed as a city smaller vehicle but compromise on the upscale tech. So it is a posh supermini to rival the MINI.

Cadillac unveiled Urban Luxury Concept at the 2010 LA Auto Show. The Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept is designed as a city smaller vehicle but compromise on the upscale tech. So it is a posh supermini to rival the MINI.

The small Cadillac was one of the surprises at the 2010 Los Angeles auto show and our reporters on the ground are calling it one of the hits of the show. Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept stood comparison with Europe’s finest city cars. At just under 4 metres long and 1.7 metres wide, he has a point. The Caddy supermini is slap bang in the middle of MINI territory.

Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept is filled with touch screens and projected displays. Those screens and displays also allow for more interior space, which is ultra important since this Caddy is a mere 151 inches long, 68.1 inches wide and 56.9 inches tall. Cadillac is toying with the very limits of its Art and Science ethos by compressing luxury, technology and design into this tight package.

Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept is powered by a tiny 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, but boosted by an electric rear axle. Like the PSA system, it’s enough to make it 4wd. It’s estimated that fuel economy would be in the neighborhood of 56 miles per gallon in the city and 65 mpg out on the highway. We can’t think of many better ways for Cadillac to catch up with the zeitgeist and grow its appeal to a downsizing public.

Cadillac Aera Concept is a futuristic 2+2 luxury tourer with a 3D lattice frame structure and a pneumatic drive system running on compressed air.

Cadillac Aera Concept is designed by California-based General Motors Advanced Design Studio for the Design Challenge hosted at the 2010 LA Auto Show.

Cadillac Aera is a 1,000 lb, 2+2 touring coupe, with a range of 1,000 miles and an advanced body structure based on a 3D lattice, mono-formed frame. This polyhedral structure is inspired by similar configurations found in nature, for example inside the grouping of bubbles.

The powertrain features an efficient Pneumatic Drive System (PDS) that uses compressed air, stored in a 10,000 psi composite air tank.

The passive safety of the vehicle is enhanced by flexible, pressurized air cells integrated in the exterior skin, similarly to materials developed for the NASA Mars Rover airbags.

2011 Cadillac SRX Luxury Crossover SUV is based on GM's Theta Premium platform.

2011 Cadillac SRX Luxury Crossover SUV is based on GM’s Theta Premium platform.

The new SUV of 2011 Cadillac SRX comes a exclusive body dash of a compact deluxe crossing SUV and are gettable in all but 6 trim levels. It is more difference from the old modle. The styling is aggressive, Base features should include dual power remote, heated side mirrors, roof rails, a rear step bumper, daytime running lights, and halogen headlights.

The interior of the 2011 Cadillac SRX is bound to be its chief selling point. It is bursting at its seams with high-quality materials and exceptional build quality. Optional features, like the UltraView sunroof, definitely up the ante. The buttons along the center stack can be a tad confusing, but most people will grow accustomed to them.

2011 Cadillac SRX is powered by a 3.0-liter VVT E85 V6 with direct-injection, or a 2.8-liter Turbocharged V6. The 3.0 delivers 260 horsepower at 6950 rpm and 221 pound-feet of torque at 5600 rpm, while the smaller turbocharged mill cranks out 300 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 295 pound-feet of torque at 1850 rpm. Both come equipped with a standard Hydra-Matic 6T70 six-speed automatic. The three-liter E85 unit delivers 5 horsepower more than its predecessor, while offering a 10 to 15 percent improvement in fuel economy, GM claims.

Cadillac XTS Platinum concept makes its first world debut at the 2010 Detroit auto show. It is a big car application of Cadillac’s design language

Cadillac XTS Platinum concept makes its first world debut at the 2010 Detroit auto show. It is a big car application of Cadillac’s design language which would complete the brand transformation should it replace the STS/DTS.

The Cadillac XTS Platinum concept isn’t lacking the latter. Cadillac’s taken to putting “Platinum” badges on its most upscale vehicles, and it’s safe to say this show car takes the nameplate to a whole new level. Cut-and-sewn materials (a hallmark of the Platinum range) run rampant throughout the car, as does laser-etched suede. The dashboard sports few physical buttons or gauges, relying instead on touch-screen organic LED displays instead.

Despite the attention paid to the cabin, designers thankfully didn’t neglect the exterior, either. Billed by Cadillac, as the “active evolution” of its design language, the XTS incorporates the aggressive edges found on the likes of the CTS and SRX, but mixes them with longer lines, which help to soften the sedan’s form ever so slightly. Although technically a large sedan, the XTS show car is approximately four inches longer than an STS, and four inches shorter than a normal-wheelbase DTS. Outside a quartet of 20-inch, 11-spoke wheels wrapped in Bridgestone tyres adorns the body. LED adaptive headlamps, flared fenders and a rear spoiler mounted on the deck lid speak about the type of design language being aspired to.

The 5.1 metre (200.8 inches) long XTS Platinum has a plug-in hybrid system for electric-only driving capabilities. Its battery can be recharged in about five hours from empty. The accompanying 3.6-litre Direct Injection V6 petrol engine helps put out an estimated 260kW (354hp) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. Drive is through all four wheels.

Barack Obama’s Ride (The Beast): Cadillac Armored Stagecoach

Most of the specs of this car are top secret, but a few tantalizing details are floating around, such as the five-inch-thick windows that are about half as transparent as regular glass and can stop projectiles from assault rifles, rocket-propelled grenades and high explosives. It’s also said to be built of a combination of blast-proof ceramics and exotic metals, and certainly won’t have a convertible top or sunroof.

While GM’s trying to make it look like a Cadillac DTS, it’s based on the company’s line of heavy-duty 2500 trucks. For a fast getaway, it must have a giant engine under the hood. Because the presidential motorcade typically uses up to six decoy vehicles, there must be a mini-fleet of these behemoths on their way to the White House before too long

China’s home market products and reserved for senior leaders: Hong Qi HQE

Hong Qi HQE is a Chinese-designed and developed limousine, which also houses the first domestically-designed and -built V12 engine. The HQE is completely handmade and its body extends over six meters.

China Car Time reports that the “V12 engine is a 6.0 liter model that produces a max torque of 550 lb-ft at 4000rpm, which puts the max torque at a little lower than the Audi A8 W12 engine.”

The article went on to note, “For China’s burgeoning automotive industry this is a showcase since these cars are reserved for the nation’s top leaders. It’s the domestic market’s loss, since a China-made luxury vehicle would likely appeal to the growing number of Chinese motorists snapping up the more familiar luxury brands.”

Using the 12 cm thick at the top of the titanium material, even if the collision, and T-72 tanks, will be intact, the windows can withstand rocket attacks. Wheel in the event of an accident will be automatically converted into a track wheel. In particular, said that the car designers themselves ride in the car rocket attacks carried out experiments to prove the safety.

2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover is the Cadillac company’s entry-level SUV, the base price is $41,575.this model is intended to bring a dynamic alternative to the marketplace in the luxury crossover segment with its styling and proportions that are based on the Provaq Concept which toured the automotive circuit earlier this year.

2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover is available in two trim levels, the V6 (MSRP $37,615, Invoice $35,945) or V8 (MSRP $44,615, Invoice $42,490). The SRX competes with the Acura MDX, Audi Q7, BMW X5, Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Equinox, Infiniti FX 35 and 45, Land Rover LR3, Lexus RX 350, Lincoln MKX, Mercedes-Benz M Class, Porsche Cayenne, Saab 9-7x, Volkswagen Touareg2 and the Volvo XC 90. The V6 trim level is equipped with a 255-horsepower, 3.6-liter, V6 engine. The V8 version is equipped with a 320-horsepower, 4.6-liter Cadillac Northstar V8 engine. Both trim levels are available with a rear-wheel drive system. The V6 trim levels comes with 5-speed shiftable automatic transmission, while the V8 trim level has 6-speed shiftable automatic transmission and rear limited slip differential.

The 2010 Cadillac SRX Crossover Sigma luxury rear-drive platform for an update of GM’s Global Compact Crossover Architecture known as TE as it combines elements of the Theta crossover platform with some Epsilon mid-size car elements. Yes, that means a front-wheel-drive Cadillac, presumably with all-wheel drive standard. TE has already give us the current Saturn Vue. It also will underpin the all-new Saab 9-4X due in the fall of 2009, giving the Swedish brand an entry in the mid-size crossover segment. The next-generation Chevrolet Equinox also shares these bones, but the Pontiac Torrent will go away and the final entry will wear GMC stripes and be sold as the Terrain.

Cadillac cts-v is a luxury, CTS-V is Cadillac’s smallest sedan. so cadillac cts-v Price Range:$60,720.

2009 cadillac CTS V

Cadillac CTS-V was the first and easily the most successful example. The first-generation CTS-V had the wild power output to go up against the Germans, but came up lacking a little in terms of polish and engineering sophistication. The second-generation CTS-V, though, is a totally different beast. Packing a ferocious 556-horsepower supercharged V8 into the grown-up and dynamically advanced second-gen CTS, the result is the very definition of a world-class super sedan.

Cadillac CTS-V is the high-performance version of the CTS sport sedan. While its predecessor certainly got your blood pumping, the new edition is like a defibrillator attached to Niagara Falls’ hydroelectric plant. Under its angularly sculpted hood lives a detuned version of the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found in the manic Corvette ZR1, which in the Cadillac produces 556 hp and 551 pound-feet of torque.

CTS-V also gets a bulging hood, flared front fenders, 19-inch wheels, huge brakes and big silver mesh grilles. Similarly, the cabin adds piano black trim and Alcantara faux suede surfaces to the civilized edition’s already high-end ambience and materials. Most of the CTS’s vast array of standard and optional luxury features carry over, meaning you can burn rubber and listen to AC/DC on the surround-sound stereo at the same time.

With the six-speed manual transmission, the Cadillac CTS-V cranks out neck-snapping acceleration in the range of 4.3 seconds from zero to 60 mph and a 12.4-second quarter-mile time. (A six-speed automatic with wheel-mounted shift paddles is optional.) That’s obviously high-end sports car territory, but it also schools the super sport sedans from Germany. Plus, it does it for less money.

There’s much more to the CTS-V than simple drag strip runs, however. The nasty axle hop and overwhelmed chassis of the previous generation are gone, replaced by a more thoroughly refined car that handles its power with skill and grace. Credit the fact that the CTS is a drastically better car than the one it replaces, but also major suspension improvements and the Magnetic Ride Control that allows for an impressive balance between ride and handling. Adaptable transmission, steering and suspension settings serve to make sure the car is best tuned for whatever driving conditions are being experienced.

Cadillac Vizon is a cross-over SUV/luxury station wagon.four-passenger interior features leather seating with integrated heating and cooling. Passengers can enjoy infotainment systems such as a DVD player and built-in video screens. The driver’s reconfigurable display panel, inspired by Bulgari jewelers, allows for tailoring information that appears on the instrument panel. The overall impression is calm, clean and pure, taking its inspiration from contemporary home and furniture design. The center console extends the length of the car’s interior, forming a long box for skis and other activity cargo. This console also supports the front seating, eliminating unsightly and space-consuming rails from the floor under the seats.

The Cadillac Vizon is powered by a 4.2-liter V-8 Northstar engine with a five-speed automatic transmission. Prepared for varied driving conditions, the Vizon features the first all-wheel-drive StabiliTrak application. Further, the suspension height can be adjusted for different road and load conditions. As the engine starts, a sliding cover on the instrument panel opens to reveal a reconfigurable three-panel instrument display, which allows the driver to choose how and where data about the car is displayed.

The bank of air inlets cools the front-mounted radiators, and is flanked on either side by vertical headlamps. Functional side air intake and exhaust vents lay flush with the surface of the car, opening up as required. Formal, directional sail panels, which appear to float above the surface, house air intakes for the V-12.

The body and chassis are made of carbon fiber composite that is lightweight and stiff. Cien is equipped with scissor-style doors that pivot at the base of the A-pillars upon opening.

Cadillac has just revealed the Cadillac Provoq concept, a 4 door crossover concept, which uses the E-Flex platform with a hydrogen fuel-cell range extender.

Cadillac Provoq concept may look like a compact crossover vehicle, but underneath its stylish exterior is the hydrogen fuel cell version of GM’s E-Flex powertrain system. The E-Flex system first debuted on the Chevrolet Volt Concept at last year’s North American International Auto Show, and one year later it’s being introduced for the first time on a Cadillac. The E-Flex system is a series hybrid, with the vehicle essentially acting as pure electric car. When the batteries are exhausted, a range extender powerplant – in this case it is GM’s fifth-gen hydrogen fuel stack – acts as a generator to recharge the electric batteries. GM boasts that its latest fuel cell is half as big as the outgoing model, but provides more power and utilizes hydrogen more efficiently.

The Cadillac Provoq concept features a 70 kW (94 hp) electric motor that provides power to the front wheels, plus two 40 kW (54 hp) in-wheel electric motors that are powered by a battery pack with plug-in capabilities. GM says that the Provoq should be able to travel 20 miles on pure electric power, and a further 280 miles on a single tank of hydrogen. For a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, the Provoq’s performance is quite strong, taking less than 8.5 seconds to hit 60 mph, and providing a top speed of 100 mph.

GM has unveiling 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe concept. Cadillac has officially taken the wraps off the 2011 Cadillac CTS coupe. Originally planned as a 2010 model, The 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe concept will be available in spring of 2010.

The release was pushed back as General Motors slogged through bankruptcy restructuring and the sexy 2+2 will now debut at the Los Angeles auto show before hitting the market in the spring. Rear- and all-wheel-drive variants will be available, while a 556-hp CTS-V Coupe also is en route and will debut later in 2010.

2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe concept isn’t just about looks. The only engine offered is a 3.6-liter V-6 featuring direct injection and delivering 304 hp. A choice of six-speed transmissions will be available, though only rear-wheel-drive cars are available with a clutch pedal. Two suspension packages are offered: a so-called performance package includes 18-inch wheels and all-season tires while the summer tire performance package upgrades to 19-inch wheels and Continental summer tires, though it can’t be paired with AWD. A Limited-slip differential is standard for all CTS Coupes. A V-series Coupe will follow, likely at the Detroit show.

Inside, driver and passenger can choose Recaro buckets borrowed from the CTS-V sedan for more support during spirited driving. Cadillac’s pop-up navigation system remains an option as well as Bluetooth, and a Bose surround sound system. Those stuck riding in the rear seat will give up quite a bit of personal space compared with a CTS Sedan, but there are only two seats back there in the Coupe. Sometimes comfort is sacrificed for fashion and the CTS Coupe is plenty fashionable.

Luxury coupe concept continues GM’s leadership in the electrification of the automobile

DETROIT – General Motors unveiled a further glimpse at the potential of electric propulsion today, this time in the form of luxury transportation, with the Cadillac Converj Concept. The Cadillac Converj was developed as a well-appointed grand touring coupe with a bold design and a host of interactive technology.

The four-passenger Converj concept is intended to show how GM’s revolutionary electric propulsion technology – called Voltec – can power a luxury coupe with a typically Cadillac “no compromises” design. The technology enables up to 40 miles of gas- and emissions-free electric driving with extended-range capability of hundreds of miles.

Bob Lutz, GM’s vice chairman of Global Product Development, said the Converj concept has production substance. “It’s a logical extension of our plan to reinvent the automobile,” he said. “It clearly shows what a Cadillac electric vehicle could look like, and clearly indicates that global luxury customers can have a car that has both strong design and electric propulsion with a total range of hundreds of anxiety-free miles.”

Cadillac’s extended-range electric vehicle (E-REV) concept has a new body style that is an evolution of the brand’s traditional Art and Science design theme. An aggressive, forward-leaning arc profile is the foundation for the sporting stance. And more than a Cadillac in form, Converj is also intended to be a Cadillac in substance, with the premium materials, technology and driving dynamics that are hallmarks of the brand.

Voltec – innovative propulsion technology
The Cadillac Converj’s Voltec electric propulsion system is made up of a 16-kWh, T-shaped battery, an electric drive unit, and a four-cylinder engine-generator. It uses electricity as its primary source to drive the car.

A thermally managed battery pack contains more than 220 lithium-ion cells that provide the primary power to drive the Converj electrically up to 40 miles without using fuel or producing tailpipe emissions. The battery is integrated into the Converj’s chassis and stores electricity from the grid when the vehicle is plugged in. It takes less than three hours to recharge the battery at 240V, or about eight hours from a 120V outlet.

When the battery’s energy is low, the Converj seamlessly switches to extended-range mode. During this secondary level of operation, electricity needed to power the vehicle is created on-board by a flex-fuel-powered engine that operates much like a home generator to create electricity. The engine-generator ensures a constant supply of power for hundreds of miles until the car is refueled or plugged in to recharge the battery. This extended-range mode eliminates the range anxiety that comes with driving pure electric vehicles that offer no backup power when the battery charge is low.

Whether in electric or extended-range mode, the Converj is propelled all the time by an electric drive unit. It converts electrical energy from the battery or the engine-generator into mechanical energy to drive the front wheels. It also delivers 273 lb.-ft. (370 Nm) of instant torque, for a quick launch, and 120 kW of power. The top speed is 100 mph.

There is no compromise in vehicle performance in either mode of operation. To enhance the ride feel, the Converj also features GM’s Magnetic Ride Control; and for even greater efficiency, energy during braking is captured and stored in the battery.

Pure Cadillac design
There’s no mistaking the Converj for anything but a Cadillac, according to Lutz. “An aggressive, forward-leaning profile hints at a new, progressive theme and proportion in Cadillac’s design evolution,” he says. “The new proportion showcases a uniquely shaped, modern vision of a personal luxury 2+2.”

The overall shape is reinforced by a prominent, sweeping body line with large, 21-inch (front) and 22-inch (rear) wheels pushed to the edges of the body. The Converj exterior is painted a dark silver tri-coat that GM designers dubbed “Reaction.”

An all-glass roof incorporates solar panels that help offset power drain from the vehicle’s accessories. Additionally, several aerodynamic and design efficiencies were incorporated to enhance the driving range, including:
A full under-vehicle cover (belly pan)
Minimal grille openings that reduce drag at the front of the vehicle
Low-profile rearview cameras replace conventional outside mirrors to reduce drag
Wheels are shaped to push air outward for smoother body side airflow

The Converj also incorporates vertical headlamp and taillamp elements, with light pipe technology.

“Vertical lamps are Cadillac signatures and the Converj builds on the brand’s light pipe technology with bolder light emitting diode (LED) and high-intensity discharge elements front and rear,” said Clay Dean, global design director for Cadillac. “There is also a unique daylight light ‘spear’ at the top of the headlamps.”

Luxury meets technology inside
The Converj’s interior has advanced features and luxurious appointments blending efficiency and environmental consciousness. The 2+2 configuration is trimmed in contrasting Winter White synthetic suede – including the top of the instrument panel – and Midnight Black leather, with polished aluminum and wood grain accents. Renewable materials are used throughout such as wool-blend carpeting, a headliner made from silk, suede made from post-industrial content and more.

A technologically advanced driver center increases efficiency and reduces the draw on the battery. Features include:
New, organic light-emitting diode technology used on reconfigurable instrument cluster
Touch-screen navigation, climate, center-stack controls and audio systems
Adjustable, overhead white ambient lighting
Unique “power on” sequence featuring blue-lit console graphics
Screen displays for features including regenerative braking, battery charge level and power output
No inside rearview or outside mirrors; cameras provide surrounding images on a screen placed high on the instrument panel for a full, panoramic view
Push-button ignition and power-folding front seats
