Chinese automaker Geely will unveil Gleagle Geely GS-CC at 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, now they has launched the first photos. It is a coupe.

According to the photos, Geely GS-CC has an interesting design with a cheese grater grille, a sweptback windscreen, as well as a large rear end. While for the exterior styling would not gain everybody over, the interior is unexpectedly great as it features top quality items as well as a sporty design.

Geely GS-CC is powered by a turbocharged 1.3-ltr 4-cylinder engine, produce 127 horsepower (95 kW per 129 PS). Further info will be announced in the near future, so stay tuned for more details about this car.

This is Geely Forwind Concept. GEELY first showed Forwind Concept at the Beijing Motor Show . Geely Forwind Concept is a wreck on wheels, so the boys went back and took more shots (AD VIDEO!) of the Forwind on the show floor.

Geely Forwind Concept is a car that really shakes the world”s confidence in the Chinese auto industry. In fact, we”d rather have Chinese automakers continue copying designs from around the world than strike out on their own and produce turds like this.

Geely Electric Panda II

Het Chinese Geely komt in 2011 met een nieuw elektrisch model op de markt. Het betreft de compacte Panda die met hulp van het Taiwanese Yulon Motors is ontwikkeld. Geely brengt de auto op de Taiwanese markt onder het merk Tobe van Yulon Motors. Using a lithium-ion battery system, the Panda II has a top speed of 93 mph (150 km/h) and an EV range of 112 miles (180 km).

Taiwan heeft hoge ambities als het aankomt op elektrisch vervoer. De Taiwanese regering heeft onlangs besloten alle benzine auto’s en scooters van het eiland te weren en daarvoor elektrische modellen in de plaats aan te schaffen. Zodoende wil Taiwan ‘s werelds eerste emissievrije Aziatische eiland worden. Kosten voor het project bedragen 500 miljoen dollar.

In de nabije toekomst kunnen de ongeveer 300.000 toeristen die jaarlijks het toeristeneiland Liuqiu bezoeken met elektrisch scooters een rondreis maken. De Taiwanese bevolking profiteert ook van de regeringsdoelstellingen. Voor de 12.000 eilandbewoners is er voor de de aanschaf van een elektrisch scooter een subsidieregeling ingesteld.

Geely IG Concept: Intelligent Geely

Geely debuts a new concept Geely IG Concept at 2009 Shanghai Auto Show, which is name “Intelligent Geely”.

Geely IG Concept is a inexpensive car with interchangeable powertrains and a single gull-wing door. Also it will hit the Chinese market in 2010. The price is around 10,000 RMB(about $1,500).

Consumer can choose among conventional ICE, hybrid, or dedicated electric powertrains. Solar panels on the hood provide the Geely IG with an additional power source, and touch-screen technology provides vehicle information to the driver.

China concept: Geely GT Concept

The Geely GT Concept first debuts at 2008 Beijing Auto Show. It is design by China Brand Geely. It looks reference Maserati’s Gran Turismo, Alfa Romeo’s 8C Competizione and Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage.

Considering Geely’s previous attempts at design, the Geely GT concept is downright magnificent. The Geely GT Concept will be powered by a V8 engine, which is power plant delivering BMW 6-series rivaling performance for less than half the price. We can see a little Pontiac and a little Maserati Gran Turismo for instance, but they’re put together in an entirely original way. Check the aggressive wing grille and swoopy taillight surrounds, ever seen anything like those before?

If it reaches production, expect exports, probably reaching other Asian countries, but possibly, eventually targeting the North American market.
