Tata is the new owner of the Jaguar, now they has revealed Jaguar C-X16 Concept for 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, it is a a precursor to an expanded range of upcoming sport-themed models.

Jaguar C-X16 Concept is the 16th project design director Ian Callum and his team have worked on. It is in roadster and coupe bodystyles, in a little over a year from now. It measures 4.45 meters long, 2.048 meters wide, and 1.297 meters high with a wheelbase measuring 2.62 meters.

Interior, it was designed by Jaguar with inspiration from aeronautical ergonomics, including the joystick gear lever, and the plethora of toggle switches on the instrument panel. There are also plenty of different interior color options and trims, including a splashy red interior on the concept that matches well with the silver exterior.

Jaguar C-X16 Concept is powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine, plus an “experimental” performance hybrid system like that found on the Limo-Green research car. Which is 375 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. The 0-60 time 4.4 seconds, and the top speed is 186 mph. Fifty to 75 mph takes just 2.1 seconds–meaning strong passing.

The Jaguar C-X16 Concept will face stiff competition from the new Porsche 911 and BMW 6 Series, so the pricing for the C-X16 will need to be handled delicately.

2011 Jaguar XJL

Jaguar has restyled its XJ sedans, the new 2011 Jaguar XJ flagship has the flamboyant lines and driving dynamics and precision.

The 2011 Jaguar XJ is a cab-rearward design, also it rides on a 119.4-inch wheelbase and are 201.7 inches long, while the XJL has a 124.3-inch wheelbase and is 206.6 inches long. While the cars are still made in Castle Bromwich, England. All also come in the extended wheelbase models, like the test car, that add an “L” to the XJ moniker.

Jaguar will offer three versions of the XJ, starting with its “entry-level” XJ with a 5.0-liter 385-horsepower V8, it is the base version. There’s also the XJ Supercharged with the same V8 creating 470 horsepower or the XJ Supersport with an even racier 510-horsepower V8. They all engine mates with a silky and beautifully calibrated 6-speed automatic transmission.

XJL’s engine produces 385 horsepower and 380 lb-ft. it can move the 4,131 lbs. so it beast at a rate of 0-60 mph in 5.4-seconds. The 2011 Jaguar XJ engines have 15,000-mile service intervals with no-cost maintenance for five years or 50,000 miles, The EPA estimates that the XJ will click off 15mpg city and 22 mpg highway. We came close to that, turning 14/20.

The base XJ‘s price started at $90,700, whileit with the less powerful engine and shorter wheelbase begins at $72,700. Going up from there to the standard XJL moves the price to $79,700. The Supersport starts at $110,200 or $113,200 for the stretched version. With options the test car hit $94,150.

2011 Jaguar XJ does exactly what Jaguar hopes it will give buyers an alternative choice and a reason to consider taking a leap with the leaping cat again.

Jaguar R D6 Concept

Jaguar R D6 Concept was first debut at 2003 Frankfurt International Motor Show. It would build on the R-Coupe and further develop Jaguar’s new design direction.

Jaguar R-D6 Concept also takes advantage of Jaguar’s lightweight structure strategy, as pioneered in the new XJ saloon. Using aluminium and composite materials for the chassis and body, R-D6 weighs just 1500kg. This allows it to capitalise on the power, more importantly, the torque – delivered by its V6 engine.

Jaguar R-D6 Concept 4,330mm long, R-D6 is 342mm shorter than Jaguar’s smallest car, the X-TYPE saloon – and 760mm shorter than an XK8 coupé. The compact length of R-D6 is aided by short overhangs front and rear and is achieved with a wheelbase of 2,840mm. To ensure R-D6 is a true four-seater, the design team refused to compromise on width or height.

Jaguar R-D6 Concept is powered by a high-performance 2.7-litre diesel engine, Confirming Jaguar as a potent new force in the world of large-capacity diesels, the bi-turbo V6 is a tuned version of the engine that will make its debut in the S-TYPE in 2004. With horsepower in excess of 230bhp and a massive 500Nm of torque, the V6 diesel engine endows R-D6 with the pace to satisfy its looks and R-Performance rating. Acceleration from standstill to the benchmark 60mph takes less than six seconds. Top speed is an electronically limited 155mph.

2011 Jaguar XKR-S

Jaguar released the 2011 Jaguar XKR-S sports car at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. It is already a pretty wonderous piece to drive and look at, and it is the hot-as-a-scorching-summer’s-day XKR-S.

The 2011 Jaguar XKR-S features exclusive new paint colors that reflect Jaguar’s racing heritage. The exterior of the XKR-S adheres to the principle of form following function. As we know the XKR-S has an aggressive front fascia, aerodynamic side skirts, and LED-infused headlights. Elsewhere, the car is equipped with black mesh grille inserts, new front fenders, a sporty rear diffuser, and a massive rear wing.

The most impressive changes were the front of the car: Jaguar improved on the car’s aerodynamics, there is a new bumper design featuring near vertical feature lines running down from the edges of the oval air intake and supporting the new carbon-fiber splitter and lower spoiler. The rear gets a separate rear wing, while the car sits on 20-inch Vulcan lightweight forged alloys in a dark finish.

2011 Jaguar XKR-S a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, produces 550 PS (405 kW / 542 hp) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds, 0-100 mph in 8.6 seconds, and on to a top speed of 186 mph (300 km/h).

There are rumors around the Jaguar will enter the crossover SUV market, recentle Jaguar is considering giving the green light to a crossover SUV according to well placed sources inside the company.

Jaguar is in a good position to bring a SUV or crossover to its lineup. Because Jaguar and Land Rover are under the same umbrella of the corporate parent Tata, Jaguar will be looking to compete with similar models from Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, and BMW in the 2013 time frame with this new entry, if it does get approved by company directors.

It’s more likely that Tata will not make a Jag SUV because it would cannibalize sales from Land Rover. Instead, to the delight of Jaguar purists everywhere, most of the talk coming from the Jaguar seems to peg the future on sports coupes and roadsters. If Tata keeps the two separate, then Land Rover would have a similar situation to what it had in the 60s and 70s with Rover cars. Back then it two brands under the same company providing complementary, not competing, product lines.

2011 Jaguar XF Black Pack

Jaguar offering the XF sedan with a new Black Pack appearance package, patterned after a similar option offered earlier this year on the XK. Jaguar XF is successful XF sports saloon.

The exclusive new Black Pack brings an added sense of power and purpose to the sought-after XF range, and follows closely in the wheel tracks of a similar option on the XK sports car which has aroused huge interest since its launch earlier in 2010.

Featuring menacing dark-grey 20-inch Draco alloy wheels with diamond turned rims, a gloss black grille and gloss black window surrounds, the XF Black Pack is available on XF Diesel S, the 5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and XFR models, with prices starting at £950.

Tata have confirmed that a BMW 3-Series rival designed to sit below the XF and replace the X-Type is already under development. There are few details in terms of what to expect if and when it hits production.

Jaguar wants to take on its German competitors globally, a smaller, higher sales volume saloon was a necessity, and so work has begun on the new car. Although the Ford Mondeo-based first-generation X-Type was hardly a sales success, a replacement is on the cards, thanks in part to the positive reception the RD6 concept received at the Frankfurt Motor Show seven years ago. In keeping with the XF and XJ, the next car will feature a cutting-edge design, but to separate itself from the larger models, there will be plenty of smooth curves instead of sharp creases.

As our images show, an interpretation of the XF’s rectangular mesh grille and swept-back headlights would give the front end the new Jaguar family look. At the back, more rounded edges to the boot, boomerang tail-lamps and pronounced curves over the wheelarches create a distinctive and muscular stance. Under the skin, the plot thickens, though. Our sources have revealed that Jaguar is working on an all-new aluminium rear-wheel-drive platform for the X-Type replacement, with the aim of making it the lightest, best-handling car in its class.

Such a massive undertaking would absorb a large chunk of Tata’s £1billion per year research and development budget for Jaguar/Land Rover, so to spread the costs, the modular platform will also be used on the next-generation XF, XK and an all-new sports. Bearing in mind that the big XJ already uses an aluminium chassis, this would mean the range would eventually be all aluminium, with significant benefits for fuel economy.

Also boosting the newcomer’s green credentials will be a pair of downsized four-cylinder engines – diesel and petrol turbo units, with the former replacing the Ford-sourced 2.2-litre oil-burner that’s currently fitted to the Freelander in Jaguar/Land Rover’s portfolio.

A range-topping 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel could also be offered, as well as a hybrid version in 2015. This would pair the V6 diesel with a 35kW (47bhp) electric motor integrated into an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.

When it appears in 2012, the 3-Series rival will be earmarked as Jaguar’s big-seller – but even without it, things are going well for the British brand. Latest sales figures show that it shifted 6,776 cars in June – 59 per cent more than in the same month last year.

The base XJ is powered by a 385 horsepower 5.0L V8 while the mid-level Supercharged model adds a supercharger to boost horsepower to 470.All XJ models use a six-speed automatic transmission.

Besides the extravagant exterior, the cabin is a fascinating departure for Jaguar.In the dash center above the eight-inch touch screen, reminiscent of a Ferrari, large, leather-swathed fairings protrude with the giant eight-balls that serve as air vents.The gauges are digital graphic renderings of analog dials on a 12.3-inch thin-film-transistor (TFT) display.

The XJ was completely redesigned for 2010 with a more modern look and feel, and continues into 2011 with minimal changes.

Jaguar C-X75 concept is an electric supercar

Jaguar C-X75 Concept has been unveiled at the Paris Auto Show, it is an extended-range electric coupe, along with a electric/gas turbine power products 780 horsepower, according to the official it is considering production.

The styling is award-winning design with something new and evolved, and mixes a number of cues from Jaguar’s modern lineup. Jaguar C-X75 Concept revives the promise of the XJ13 two-seat supercar from the 1966. C-X75 was created with future production models in mind, but this one was designed to show what the company can do.

The Jaguar C-X75 is 2,970-pound, it is equiped with two 96-horsepower micro gas turbines, which products two 96-horsepower micro gas turbines that pump juice into a plug-in li-ion battery pack. That in turn powers four 195-horsepower electric motors, one at each wheel, for a total of 780 horsepower and 1,187 pound-feet of torque. Jaguar C-X75 can hit 62 mph in 3.4 seconds, with a 10.3-second dispatch of a quarter mile. The batteries carry enough energy to carry the two-seater 68 miles on electric power alone. The top speed is pegged at 205 mph.

The British company Bladon Jets supplies the gas turbines. Turbines are said to offer a number of advantages over conventional piston engines: They do not need oil lubrication or water cooling, which saves weight, and can run on a range of fuels.

The interior, Jaguar has designed a series of new touchscreens. The center dash also sports a Bremont-designed clock, and instead of speakers, the Bowers & Wilkins sound system uses transducers lining the doors and bulkhead in a honeycomb pattern, creating a system that can actively cancel some of the noise from the mini jet engines behind the passengers’ spines.

Jaguar has embodied the highs and lows of Britain’s auto industry. It is studying the feasibility of building 1,000 to 2,000 C-X75s a year.

Jaguar is getting ready to reinvent its stunning XJ220, It’s set to be one of the fastest cars Jaguar ever built, and proof that the future of the British motor industry has never been brighter.

According to our network of spies, the revolutionary sports car is being developed by the firm’s best engineers as a rival to the Audi R8. Jaguar will debut the 2011 Jaguar XKR 175 coupe special edition at 2010. The 2011 Jaguar XKR 175 coupe is part of the company’s 75th anniversary celebrations on the North American market.

Jaguar unveiled the one-of-a-kind Jaguar XJ75 Platinum Concept at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance Concept Car Lawn, for the Jaguar’s 75th anniversary celebrations.

It based on the XJL Supercharged, the XJ75 features Satin Matte Pearlescent White paint, black accents, an aerodynamic body kit, a trunk-mounted spoiler, and 22-inch alloy wheels. The front, rear and side skirts swoop low to the road while the 22in bespoke black alloys dominate the concept’s profile.

Jaguar F-type concept

Jaguar F Type will be go-ahead for full production, by the new owner Indian manufacturer Tata.

Jaguar’s F-type concept was originally revealed at the Detroit motor show in early 2000. Inspired by the XK180 concept car revealed at the Paris Salon in 1998, Jaguar designers set out to create the ideal, compact Jaguar roadster, evoking the spirit of the legendary E-type.

The design team with the responsibility for creating the F-TYPE CONCEPT was led by Keith Helfet, whose track record includes the XK180 concept car and XJ220. Work commenced under the direction of the late Geoff Lawson, Jaguar’s Director of Styling, who died suddenly in June 1999.

Jaguar C-XC concept is designed by Designer Phillip Dean, which is a clean coupe that seeks to retain the brand’s form while minimizing impact on the environment.

Jaguar C-XC concept is powered by Hydrogen fuel cells with the unit mounted in the hood, which may be the next trend in making our cars more eco-friendly. Check out the pictures below. Aerodynamics are improved by means of covered wheels and a touching of glass on the body.

A single glass piece stretches from the hood to the rear, acting as hood, windscreen, roof and rear window. While this gives a great look and natural lighting to the car, it will also work to heat the car, something you don’t really need for a hot summer day. Effects of the glass on the car’s structural rigidity and safety may also be questioned, but then this is only a design exercise; and a good one at that.
