Maserati GranCabrio Sport will be brought to the 2011 Geneva Auto Show. This new Sport variant gets a black grille, redesigned side skirts and new front corner splitters. The big changes are under the skin though.

Maserati GranCabrio Sport is a harder-edged model to sit alongside the GranTurismo S and the Quattroporte Sport GT S. It is the perfect choice for driving. Ao it is a stunning model, concealing an aggressive, high-performance soul beneath an inimitably elegant appearance.

GranCabrio Sport feature is a black front grille and blacked-out headlights with white borders. The Maserati trident gets red accents; the side skirts and front corner splitters are more aggressive.

Inside, Maserati hammer home the car’s purpose even harder, with carbon fiber dashboard trim and shifter paddles. The rear seats are among the most generous in the four-seat convertible segment but tall passengers could still find themselves a little cramped, the boot is tiny with only 173-litres on offer.

Maserati GranCabrio Sport is powered by a Maserati’s top-dog 4.7-liter V8, developing 444 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque courtesy of the familiar. Maserati upgraded the standard car’s six-speed paddle-shifted transmission for even quicker gear changes. Maserati has also firmed up the car’s Skyhood active suspension and thrown in bigger brakes to keep everything from going awry.

2011 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale

Maserati is luxury and speed surpercar automaker, about two months ago they unveiled the 2011 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale. It is the new special edition Gran Turismo, as we know this model is fastest, lightest, and most powerful in Maserati the line-up.

This surpercar model was inspired by the GT4 racing group, but it needed to be modified in order to become road legal. As Maserati GranTurismo Series models, Maserati has benefited tremendously from its association with Ferrari, this version bridges the gap between road and race models in the same way the revolutionary Ferrari 360 Challenge, but also has some a different approach.

2011 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is a two seat sport car, so the interior also needed to be adapted for a high performance. The shell seats are made in carbon fiber combined with high-tech padding and materials and a Trident logo stitched into the headrests. But the most impressive feature with the new MC Stradale is the Human-Machine Interface that allows driver to change the driving mode. The car will start in Auto mode, but there is also a Sport and a Race mode.

The instrument clusters have received the traditional Maserati blue background color, the pedals are made in aluminum, while Alcantara is used to trim the center console, the armrest lid, the door armrests and handles and the curve above the instrument cluster.

2011 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 engine, which delivers 450 HP and 376 lbs-ft of torque at 4750rpm. Most of the improvements have come from the Friction Reduction Program, which involved the redesign of the oil sump’s fluid dynamics and Diamond-Like Coating of the tappets and the camshaft lobes. The engine is mated to an electro-actuated six-speed manual gearbox that can shift gears in only 60 milliseconds (0.06 seconds) thanks to its computer control and optimized gear selection. This car will sprint from 0 to 60 mph only in 4,6 seconds, it will hit a top speed of 186 mph.

2012 Maserati SUV

Nel 2012, Maserati potrebbe introdurre sul mercato l’inedita SUV. Maserati sarebbe intenzionata ad entrare nel segmento delle Sport Utility Vehicle per competere con Porsche che raddoppierà la presenza in questo segmento con la Cajun, ma anche con Land Rover e Lagonda.

La SUV con il brand Maserati dovrebbe essere la versione di serie e stilisticamente aggiornata della Kubang, la concept car del 2003 che fu disegnata da Giugiaro, il quale interpretò il concetto di vettura GT Wagon. L’auto dovrebbe condividere la piattaforma con la Jeep Grand Cherokee, mentre la produzione dovrebbe essere affidata all’ex impianto Bertone di Grugliasco.

Per quanto riguarda il prezzo, lo stesso insider indica 100.000 dollari come base, pari a circa 70.000 euro. La notizia non è ancora stata né confermata e né smentita da Maserati, anche se le indiscrezioni sulla produzione in serie della Kubang circolano dall’anno della sua presentazione. Inizialmente, l’auto sarebbe stata prodotta in joint-venture con Audi che avrebbe fornito la trazione integrale.

In seguito, alla sinergia della Casa di Ingolstadt fu preferita la collaborazione con Alfa Romeo, quest’ultima interessata alla versione di serie della concept Kamal, ma poi l’operazione si arenò. L’ultima notizia risale al 2008, quando l’ex ad Roberto Ronchi smentì, per l’ennesima volta, l’eventuale sviluppo della vettura.

Maserati Quattroporte 2030 concept

Maserati Quattroporte 2030 concept was designed by Yaroslav Chumachenko, who is a 25-year old transportation design student at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Turin, Italy.

Maserati Quattroporte 2030 concept can adopt minor design changes. It can be used as an SUV, sedan, or a rear-engine sports car. The car can change shape by using Stereolithography additive manufacturing technology, with a modular structure inspired by dinosaur skeletons. It is based on a modular platform that would allow to build a vehicle very quickly and to easily replace individual components as technology evolves.

In the safety department, the ribs will provide a sturdy structure as they are attached to the longitudinal member. As crazy as this car might be, it sure does make us wonder if these cars will ever see the light of day.

2011 Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S Awards Edition

Maserati started with the Quattroporte Sport GT S, it is base on the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S, and comes the car which celebrates the countless awards that the Maserati flagship sedan has received from the day of its debut to today.

The teams a screaming, 433-hp, 4.7-liter V-8 with a paddle-shifted six-speed automatic transmission. It then paints the car a new color it calls “Quarzo fuso,” a pale metallic gold.

The brake system, which replicates the system fitted to the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S and uses dual-cast technology, is further enhanced by the hand-polished calipers both at the front and rear.

The interior also bears witness to the combination of sporting flair and craftsmanship that has always characterized the Maserati flagship sedan. The Poltrona Frau leather of the seats is combined with perforated Alcantara with a new undulated pattern, and the headlining still in Alcantara. Completing the interior space are the special brushed aluminum door sills and Piano Black satin-finish wood moldings.

The Quattroporte Sport GT S Awards Edition goes on sale in the second half of 2010 as a 2011 model. Pricing has not yet been announced, but figure on at least a $10,000 premium, which would push this Maser’s price into the low-to-mid-$140,000 range.

Mansory revealed their package for the Maserati GranTurismo and GranTurismo S just in time for the 2010 Paris Motor Show.

Mansory has long been known has the specialist for refining luxury automobiles. Now, the company from Brand in Bavaria has added an additional traditional brand to their tuning portfolio. The stylish and sporty conversion of the Maserati GranTurismo is once again proof of the fact that Mansory has excellent know-how when it comes to customising Italian premium sports cars.

A performance-optimised ECU, an air filter with increased air throughput and a sports exhaust system with two double-suction tail pipes enhance the performance of the V8 aggregates by 30 HP each (series: GT 405 HP / GTS 440 HP). At the same time, the torque is increased by around 40 Nm compared to the series models (GT 460 Nm at 4750 / GTS 490 Nm at 4750).

Mansory also provide bespoke wheels for the GT and GTS, in size 20-inch for front and 21-inch for the back with 255/30 R 20 front tyres and 305/30 R 21 tyres for rear.The wheels can also be painted in the same color scheme as the body.

The interior features Mansory’s own brand of upholstery. The finest materials have been processed in traditional top-quality craftsmanship to add that individual touch to the inside of the Mansory Maserati GranTurismo. the Birdcage 75 stands a great chance for being remembered as a sexy, sporting dream with an edgy communications future. The name helps, of course, as the concept carries the famous title of the Maserati “Birdcage” racing car built from 1959 to 1963 – so named because of its tubular chassis. Based on the chassis of the Maserati MC12, the goal of the Birdcage 75 is to stretch the boundaries of design and techniques. For example, the Birdcage 75 was built as a single object, instead of a sequence of parts, and was designed to convey a futuristic representation of sultry lines and power. To that end, the concept features Maserati’s 700-horsepower V12 engine tucked into a teardrop shell with a “floating” center that is purposely uncluttered and smooth, a streamlined design intended to facilitate air flow, and, as a result, speed. The wheels are 20 inches up front and 22 inches in back, and the chassis is made of carbon fiber.

The theme of the Birdcage 75 continues into the interior of the concept, with an uncluttered design meant to convey the racing heritage of Maserati and the communications force of Motorola. Indeed, with features such as a head’s up display, projection screens and advanced cell phone communications technology. The ideal represented in the Birdcage 75 is a communications system that includes all facets of man and machine; a totally integrated environment which naturally connects driver to passenger, road and information.
