Mazda Takeri Concept

Mazda released the Mazda Takeri concept before the 2011 Tokyo motor show, it will be equiped with the Mazda’s new SKYACTIV technology.

The midsize sedan Takeri concept adopts Mazda’s latest Kodo design language, it marked a changing of the guard as far as the company’s new design philosophy was concerned.

The first two examples of this new chapter in Mazda design came in the form of the Shinari and Minagi concepts.The third Kodo-influenced concept is called the Takeri and it’s being touted as the eventual successor and next-generation model of the Mazda 6. The Takeri Concept successfully follows in the steps of both the Shinari and Minagi concepts.

Mazda’s new SKYACTIV technology is geared towards producing a range of hybrid versions for the next-generation Mazda 6. Other rumored elements of the Takeri Concept include a high tensile, lightweight steel chassis, regenerative brakes, and start-stop engine technology

More details of the Takeri Concept are expected to be revealed at the Tokyo Auto Show in a little over a month’s time.

Mazda 3 SKYACTIV

Mazda 3 SKYACTIV is only been sale in Australia, Mazda3 is the first production model to be powered by Mazda’s Skyactiv powertrain, which is designed to increase fuel economy.

Mazda SKYACTIV technology can literally transform a car’s performance and fuel economy without any additional cost and it’s coming to a Mazda showroom near you this November. It is about substantial efficiency gains without the slightest compromise to the car’s performance and dynamics. Those gains are achieved through more precise design and engineering of key components.

The 2012 Mazda 3 will be offered with Mazda’s Skyactiv-G gasoline engine, which is a direct-injected 2.0-liter inline-four. The engine will be powered by Mazda’s new SKYACTIV six-speed automatic transmission, which features an aggressive lock-up clutch for the torque converter.

Mazda SKYACTIV technology will help the automaker produce easily fit in with the 40-mpg club, which has recently become the new efficiency benchmark for the compact class.

2012 Mazda CX-5

According to Mazda official, the all-new 2012 Mazda CX-5 compact crossover SUV will be launched at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. And CX-5 will be progressively introduced to global markets from early 2012.

As the third model in the CX line-up, 2012 Mazda CX-5 next to the CX-7 and CX-9, and will appropriately be the smallest one. The Mazda CX-5 is the first of a new generation of Mazda products developed around the full range of Skyactive technology, including all-new Mazda gasoline and diesel engines, manual and automatic transmissions, body and chassis.

The engine will include Mazda’s Skyactiv-G 2.0 gasoline engine Skyactiv-D 2.2 diesel engine available in Standard Power and High Power versions. Which produces 129kW and 420Nm, with an emissions rating of just 120g of CO2 per kilometre. Mazda CX-5 delivers precise response and a high-quality ride matched with strong environmental and safety performance.

2010 Mazda RX-8 Facelife

Mazda has freshened announced the European version of 2010 Mazda RX-8, which is four door sports car. The prices is ranging from $26,495 to $32,660.

The all-new 2010 Mazda RX-8 made the most of a refreshed exterior and interiora new front fascia, Some of the changes include a new front bumper, new headlights, and LEDs incorporated into the rear lights. The front of the car is now in line with the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 Mazda is also working with the new look skirts, new tires and 19-inch alloy wheels.

2010 Mazda RX-8 is powered by a 1.3-liter rotary engine producing 232 horsepower and 152 lb-ft of torque, all going to the rear wheels. Using the six-speed manual, the car can reach 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. The car tops out at 234 km/h (145 mph).

The safety equipment includes antilock brakes, front-seat side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags and an optional electronic stability system. 2010 Mazda RX-8 received four out five stars for driver protection in frontal impacts, five stars for the front passenger and four stars for side-impact.

Mazda Kabura Concept

The Japanese car manufacturer Mazda cloaked in a mantle of Mazda Kabura Concept, this revolutionary sport coupe lays some very real groundwork for the look.

Mazda Kabura Concept is powered by the MX-5 Miata’s inline-4 and having a front-engine, rear-drive layout, the Kabura appears to fall into the coming-to-production-soon concept car category. Speculation is that a production Kabura will most likely be called RX-7, a legendary name that the Japanese manufacturer very much wants to bring back. According to Mitani, more like the first-generation RX-7 ― an affordable sports car with solid performance and everyday comfort.

Kabura’s exterior that will wow the crowds at this year’s Detroit Motor Show. “While examining the habits and tastes of our youthful customers, we found that the majority have a need to carry one or at most two passengers in comfort, while a very small percentage actually use the fourth seat on limited occasions,” von Holzhausen continued, noting the level of research and planning that goes into the creation of a major automaker’s concept vehicle.

A standard left-side door provides access to the driver’s cockpit and the rear jump seat. But the right side, as Mazda reveals, is a wholly different and purposely asymmetrical arrangement. Removing the glovebox and minimising the instrument panel allowed designers to shift the front passenger six-inches ahead of the driver’s seating position. In turn, the second passenger, sitting in tandem behind the right-front passenger, enjoys approximately the same leg, shoulder, and headroom.

Developed on the RX-Evolv and RX-01 showcars, Mazda designers invented the rear-hinged freestyle doors to improve the RX-8′s rear-seat access. Kabura proves that inspiration can strike twice in pursuit of spirited, stylish design that provides customers more than they ever dreamed possible.

To maintain a sleek roofline while offering rear access that’s vastly superior to what’s available in today’s compact coupes, von Holzhausen’s team designed Kabura with an extra right-side door. After the front door is opened, touching a button slides the bonus door straight back and out of the way.

Instead of swinging on hinges as in the innovative Mazda RX-8, this additional door glides neatly into a cavity notched into the rear-quarter panel area the way a pocket door disappears into a house wall. “Kabura may be the first compact coupe where no passenger has to call ‘shotgun!’ to avoid the second-class citizen treatment,” von Holzhausen pointed out.

Were the Kabura design study to achieve production status, Mazda insists that it would likely be a stand-alone product rather than an extension of any existing model line.

2011 Mazda 3

The 2011 Mazda 3 lineup sees expanded feature availability on some models, and other versions get some new standard equipment.

Inside, like outside, the new Mazda3 is evolutionary, rather than revolutionary. A wrap-around dash top, similar to that used on the Honda Civic, contains radio and climate control information, as well as a small optional navigation screen. The luxury quota is way up – Mazda says that it wanted to give buyers a reason to step out of larger, less efficient cars into the 3, so it upped content substantially. Class-first features like driver’s seat memory, steering-linked Xenon headlamps and dual-zone automatic climate control are all optional on the 3.

The braking system has been improved with a new vacuum booster that provides a more responsive feel to light pedal efforts.

The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine delivers 148 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 135 pound-feet of torque at 4,500 rpm. Aluminum block and head construction saves weight, while dual overhead camshafts improve efficiency and performance.

The new 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is borrowed from the larger new Mazda6. It shares the same construction features of the 2.0-liter engine while upping output to 167 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 168 pound-feet of torque at 4000 rpm. Both engines employ advanced electronic throttle actuation.

Mazda Shinari concept

Mazda unveiled the Mazda Shinari concept coupe in Milan, it is a four-door concept car that indicates the future design direction. The concept will be on Mazda’s stand at the 2010 Paris auto show.

Mazda also announced that the company’s future design language will be described by the word Kodo, which is Japanese for soul of motion. Maeda created the theme for the new stylistic direction, the development of the Shinari Concept was actually a collaboration between three of Mazda’s design centers in Japan, Germany and the United States. The goal was to make the exterior a product of Japan, while the interior of the Mazda Shinari concept was left to the automaker’s Irvine studio.

The Mazda Shinari concept coupe shows the future face of Mazda’s family of vehicles–an aluminum signature wing, the line that runs through the headlights and under the grille–as well as the overall styling trend for future production models. Inside, the Shinari is a four-seater with a cockpit design that clearly separates, rather than homogenizes, the driver and front passenger.

Exterior, it’s easy to tell that the Shinari shares little in common with Mazda’s recent designs, although like almost every sedan built today, it has similarities to vehicles from other brands. It’s almost as if the Aston Martin Rapide and a Mazda RX-8 cued up some Barry White, enjoyed a romantic evening and the Shinari came out nine months later.

Mazda will use the word Kodo, Japanese for soul of motion, to describe its future design language. Mazda is taking a little of a vivacious step for them with this new design concept and they are increasing the move by announcing that they will also be working on improving the quality level of its interiors for future vehicles.

Mazda Tanken SUV concept

Mazda Tanken concept is a low-emission hybrid SUV, which is designed by Anthony Sims from California’s Art Center College of Design.
This dynamic SUV pays warm tribute to the American nature of fearless explorer and while using the current design philosophy of Mazda, Anthony has tried to create a vehicle accordingly. After the general outlines of Tanken were defined, the designer chose Mazda CX-7 as the basis for the layout. The concept is the hybrid one and a small 4-cylinder engine charges the batteries that are incorporated at the bottom and side steps. The futuristic vehicle is powered by a small 4-cyclinder engine that revs up whenever the onboard batteries deplete.

Featuring a smooth, curvy exterior enhanced by an aerodynamic design, the futuristic vehicle takes you on a luxury ride. the interior is ‘Air’ and the designer has used the floating surface and the underlying functional elements for that purpose.

Mazda MX-5 Black & Matte Edition

Mazda unveiled the MX-5 Black & Matte Edition to throw parties left and right for the 20th birthday of the MX-5 with the party tour heading over to Paris. It was the result of a collaboration between Mazda and local design house LK.

Mazda MX-5 Black & Matte Edition is the most iconic models in their brands entire history, Mazda is throwing the whole keg in giving the MX-5 the recognition it rightfully deserves. After all, it’s not a stretch of the imagination to think that Mazda wouldn’t be where they are now without the MX-5. As you can see by the pictures, this edition goes with just about anything, including a little black dress.

Mazda joined forces with the Paris design house LK (for Laure Kczekotowska) and came up with this unique albeit simple approach to revamping the World’s favourite Roadster. The only constructive comment I can make on the car is that the taillights should be smoked or darkened somehow so as not to create such a stark contrast with their surroundings. I suggest the same for the headlights and turn-signals.

Mazda TONBO is Mazda new concept car, Unexpected, it is a sport car which is powered by hydrogen fuel.

Mazda TONBO Concept was built as a collaborative project between DedekDesign and Mazda of Europe. A concept for a ctive People , The car has a racking system to carry sport equipment, and it’s a good swimmer too. I mean you can drive it through river like an amphibian.

Do you want to get it? I gess the price will not cheap.
