The Blue Angels edition is based on the 2012 Ford Mustang GT, Mustang pays tribute to 100 years of naval aviation. This one-of-a-kind vehicle will be sold in 2011. The Ford Mustang GT Blue Angels Edition will be on display inside the Ford Hangar throughout EAA AirVenture.

The exterior of 2012 Ford Mustang GT Blue Angels was inspired by the acclaimed naval aviation performance demonstration team. The rear spoiler’s vertical tailfins, unique rear wing. The special wheels come together to not only pull off the Blue Angels theme, but highlight the strengths of the Mustang’s design as well.

Inside, Blue Angels gets special Recaro racing seats, Blue Angles insignia and embroidery, screaming yellow accents, offset stripes inspired by pilot flight suits, plus unique graphics on the gauges, navigation screen, safety belts, and instrument panel. The rear seat is deleted and replaced with a cross-brace, stiffening the chassis for performance driving. Blue Angels sill plates and puddle lamps that project jet images when the doors open finish off the treatment.

2012 Ford Mustang GT Blue Angels is equiped with a Ford Racing supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine, produces 624 horsepower (465 kW / 632 PS). The Ford Racing components also include a handling pack, performance exhaust and racetrack brakes.

Blue Angels is designed to pay tribute to 100 years of naval aviation, which is the the theme of this year’s week-long AirVenture 2011, and the price will be in a total of $1.3 million.

Ford has released new details about the upcoming 2011 Mustang GT at 2009 Los Angeles Auto Show. Though the ford official has not suppose to come out, but we guess the car will be Order books open on January 18, and it is arriving as early as March, 2010.

According to the ford official we all know it’s the return of the 5.0! with a new 5.0-liter engine code named “Coyote. Power is expected to go up despite the drop in displacement, from 210 horsepower to a whopping 315 horsepower. That’s about even witth the curren’t 4.6-liter V-8′s output in the Mustang GT, so Ford is upping the performance there, too, with the new 5.0-liter Coyote V-8, rated at 400 horsepower. As for the Mustang GT, it will get a six-speed automatic transmission – although that may still be optional.
